adopt Timber 🩷

Timber is asking Santa Paws to not forget him this year. Timber has been patiently waiting since June for a home of his own. He is a very good boy who has great energy for long hikes and is a cuddlebug. He is a volunteer favorite and we all want what is best for him.

He likes squeeky toys and playing tug. And he gives hugs. Timber in photos appears larger than he is. Weighing in at around 45 pounds and around 2 years old, he has been given the nick name of "Little Man" as he has big dog energy in perfect dog size.

Timber was found on Evergreen Drive in Tillamook trailing a part of a leash. After posting him we did have someone come forward stating they had rescued him off a busy street in Dalles, Oregon and rehomed him to someone in the area. This is also the point in the story where we would like to add, we hear this happening a lot, someone "rescues" a dog trying to save it from going to a shelter and inevitably at some point they realize they cannot keep the dog, then they call around and learn no one can take the dog. So we love that people have a heart for animals, we do ask you take time to consider long term effects of your actions. And if you find a dog in one county do not take them to another county. Now back to Timber in his short life he has had a lot of instability and he would do best in a home where there is a regular schedule or as a companion for a retiree who he can have constant love and attention.

The 6 of us cozied in last night for a well attended pajama party. I wanted to turn in way before them. Such good puppy dogs … they tried to keep the noise down. . .with Willow, Rodger, Barley, Ginger and Maude. ❤️🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶👵🏻💚

remembering Lee💜

!!!FREE CHRISTMAS TREES!!!

In honor of the late great legendary Lee Blackmon Emma is donating the rest of the trees to anyone who wants one! I’ve got about 17, 4ft trees left! If you know a person or family who can’t afford a tree I welcome you to come pick up a tree for them off the lot anytime. If they can’t afford the stand please take the red bucket the tree is sitting in. If you want a tree but don’t have the means to come pick it up text me your or their address and I will deliver it to you! Preferably by Saturday. It feels like Lee has been gone for longer than a year. Lee had such big love, life and heart for every spirit that crossed his path, the loss of him is huge and truly been felt by everyone who knew him. I welcome you to come gather in his honor at the lot at the corner of Manzanita & Division @3:30pm for a bonfire to remember Lee Blackmon who left us exactly one year ago. (the rain is showing to be on pause at this time). We’ll be burning some special Yule Logs that have many cleansing herbs attached and are sealed with dried roses from Lee & Malia’s wedding bouquet. You are encouraged to bring letters of love, sadness, grief, anger, etc. to burn and send up to him. You know he is watching down on us. RIP

Hello Hachi! For every photo I post I get ten of these. And for some reason it is easier to get a group of dogs to “pose” than 1 or 2. Hachi is the most camera shy dog I know so this is what I have today. In spite of a bad photo we had a super duper time today. Love you dogs so much!🐶

Koda left his brother at home and came to stay with us for the day. It is always nice to get away from a significant other, even in the canine world. Koda is such a good boy and a great guest. Our only challenge today was getting him back to the house. He did not want to leave his new chicken friends! 🐓💜🐶

🧡🐶🍂 I am thankful for the past 10 years of caring for dogs. Dogs have shown me how to think of them and myself in a different, better way. They have offered support and endless entertainment. Thanks to all who have shared their dogs with me. It has been a fun ride!

Flu anyone? Lots of lovely and loving dogs for care givers over the past few weeks. It seems like dogs don’t ask as much when I am ill and everyone stays close. Such love.

Please look… I’m posting for my neighbor Melinda Graunds, please call her if you’ve seen Russel, (503) 440-7099. He is arthritic and would need assistance getting into a car.
Russel is an elder Great White Pyrenees and was frightened by the recent thunder storm and took off. Russel lives near MP12 on Hwy 53.

If you’ve seen him, please let his family know, they are very worried about him. Thank you Community
