🐾 URGENT $5 FRIDAY 🐾

On Tuesday, October 1st, the Athens County Humane Society, in partnership with The Athens County Dog Shelter and Friends of the Shelter Dogs, rescued 19 small breed dogs from deplorable and unsafe conditions. Unfortunately, one dog was found deceased. Charges are being pursued against the suspect(s).

We are unable to share pictures of these dogs as this is an active court case. Many of these dogs require emergency medical care. Their conditions vary from minor to severe, and they will all need at least basic veterinary care. Some of them need emergency surgery, several have severe skin issues, and one had a large mass on its side that needed to be removed. A few have tested positive for Parvo.
The veterinary costs are going to be in the many thousands of dollars.

As we all look forward to the weekend, we're asking for your help. Can you spare just $5 to support our work? Thank you so much for your help!
