Watching dog body language! The first part of the video we see the two dogs playing the "bitey face" game and enjoying it. The second part of the video we see avoidance behaviors and vocalization that is no longer good play even though it could look like play if you are not familiar with dog body language.

Here are two of my dogs playing or are they?
It's important to recognize what is play and what is not.
This video shows a lot of dog-dog body language. When the video starts we see them both pause, they were playing and now the Husky seems to be done so she retreats to her crate. Then we see the black dog back away and play bow to which the husky decides she would like to play again, but when the black dog starts to throw his paws around she vocalizes that she is not enjoying that kind of rough play.
Comment what you see! It's videos like this that helps us understand our dogs better.
Okay yesterdays was an easy one! How about this? Can you read these dogs body language?

It's your chance to take the praise instead of give it! Dog training is hard, but I doesn't have to go unnoticed!
I shared this video in my comments on a post about fireworks but I want to give it it's own spotlight.
Breezy Robison has been working so hard with her dog P.Nut who suffers from sound aversion! We just celebrated the 4th of July and in preparation she played firework sounds on her TV. This is a great method of desensitization when done correctly. As we can see here the volume is loud and the dogs seem to be happily snoozing.
Kudos to Breezy and the amazing work she does with her dogs!
