We love to help find the perfect match for your family. Thanks for supporting our shelter! Our mission is to provide a healthy, safe and caring environment for the loved, lost and abandoned dogs of Carbon County, PA, while working to serve and assist the residents and our local police with K9 matters. We are a no-kill shelter with minimal adoption fees, working to find the best match for each dog,

while ensuring a smooth and timeless transition to their new and loving family. Every day the dogs under our care are loved as our own and will be part of our hearts forever.

* Update Dec 2024 - CODY - Is still waiting for a home. This picture was taken when CODY was a new arrival in March 2022. It would be wonderful if he didn't have to spend a third Christmas here at the shelter.
CODY is now about 3 years old & neutered. Because he has pretty much grown up here at the shelter with us, several visits with CODY will be required so he can acclimate quickly to a home.
Thank you for considering coming to meet our boy. We just know the reason he is still here is because the person he is meant for simply hasn't found him yet.

March 7, 2022 - This sweet boy (a year old if that) came in as a stray a the beginning of the month. He has seen our vet for his vaccinations & has been neutered. He is full of energy & we are working on some manners.

POPS is waiting for the phone to ring with someone interested in meeting him so he doesn't have to spend a 2nd Christmas at the shelter. POPS is a big boy - about 3 1/2 years old - who is a very playful. He loves his toys but is not to fond of sharing so he would do best with older children & no other pets in the home.
All our pups are neutered/spayed, up to date with shots, & microchipped. Please CALL to make an appointment or CALL with questions (staff do not have time to respond to questions posted here).

SCARLET is just a little excited to have some time out of the shelter. She is such a happy girl & so much fun. She is about 2 years old & on the smaller side compared to our other dogs. SCARLET was found in a home after an eviction. When we got the call to come get her, she was terrified of us but we quickly won her over. Now she is just the sweetest to everyone!
