Meet Onion! 🐶🧅

This sweet 2-year-old hound mix may have started his journey as a wandering stray along the riverfront, but now he’s ready to find a place to call home! Onion is as lovable as they come—equal parts cuddle bug and treat connoisseur. If you’ve got snacks, you’ve got a best friend for life!

He’s always up for some affection, especially if it involves butt scratches (his absolute favorite). Whether he’s curled up next to you for a cozy nap or following his nose on an adventure, Onion is just happy to be by your side.

He does well with other dogs, cats could be okay, we would just need to test him first. As for kids he would need to meet them first to see how he does!

If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and slightly goofy companion, Onion is your guy. Come meet him and see why this sweet boy will steal your heart in no time! ❤️

Do you remember Mike? When he first arrived at the shelter, he was just 39 pounds, unsure of the world, and had the saddest eyes. He was wary of new people, not sure who he could trust. But look at him now!

Today, Mike is a strong, happy, and thriving 64-pound boy with a heart full of love. His transformation has been incredible, and his resilience is nothing short of inspiring.

At about 3 years old, this pit mix is playful, goofy, and full of life. He loves his toys, adores being around people, and—though he doesn’t quite realize his own size—he’s always up for some fun!

Mike does well with other dogs and could do well with kids, though he sometimes forgets how big he is. He still needs to be cat tested to see how he feels about feline friends.

Now, Mike is ready for his next big adventure: finding a family to call his own. Could that be you?

We don’t understand how this sweet girl hasn’t been scooped up yet! Jelly Fish is a 2 year old, spayed, Pit mix who is an absolute sweetheart who loves everyone she meets. She’s great with kids, friendly with dogs and cats, and has so much love to give! 💙

She spends her days dreaming of:
🔹 Chasing her favorite blue ball outside
🔹 Giving endless kisses
🔹 Snuggling up for belly rubs (her favorite thing ever!)

UPDATE: Simon has been adopted! Meet Simon, the shelter's resident food connoisseur and professional goofball. Simon is as playful and energetic as they come, and his independence means he's just as happy entertaining himself as he is keeping you company. Simon's smart, funny, and has a heart as big as his appetite. He's looking for a forever home where his love for life (and snacks) can be fully appreciated. Simon’s ideal home would be somewhere he can play and explore. He has previously been in a home with another cat, but has no experience with dogs. Simon would be better suited in a home with older children. His energetic and playful manner may be too much for young children. Simon is 2 years old and is up to date on all his vaccinations and has been neutered. Simon's adoption fee is $20.
