Check out this sea snail! The genus is Scutus also commonly known as “shield shells”. It gets its common name from the white shield like shell on its back that can be covered by the flaps of its mantle.

Reef Systems Coral Farm has designed a 3d fish protector for the Ecotech vortech MP40 ($39.99) and MP60 ($49.99). These covers are a must have for our fishes protection! Have you ever had a healthy fish stuck in your vortech pump? This design maximizes surface area, allowing good flow throughout the tank while keeping nearby fish swimmers safe. Most other 3D printed Fish savers actually cause the pumps to cavitate and do not allow adequate flow and wear the westside, ours do not. We have been making these and using them on service clients tanks as well as in our Coral farm for the past 5 years.

Your tank may need a new pump or wave maker, so we wanted to feature just a few products we have at the farm by Aquatop . Bonus: they come with warranties and extended warranty if you register the product.

Both these water pumps are well suited for fresh and saltwater. The MaxFlow series are quiet, low power consuming, but very powerful pumps. We carry a variety of pumps with a range of max flow rates per hour (95-2377gal/hour). Versatility is important, these pumps offer flow control and numerous multi-purpose fittings for the option of powerhead or circulation pump.
