Evangelist Franklin Graham is urging Christians across the United States to pause for prayer and repentance this Wednesday, January 14, at 12:00 p.m. ET, calling believers to seek God amid what he warned is deepening spiritual and moral crisis in the nation.
In a public message, Graham said America is experiencing escalating violence, hatred, crime, drug abuse, and hopelessness, warning that the country has drifted away from God by embracing secularism and rejecting biblical truth. He called on believers to humble themselves before the Lord, repent of national sins, and cry out for God’s forgiveness and healing.
Graham also asked Christians to pray for the nation’s leaders, for peace in cities and communities, and for the forces of division, chaos, and destruction to be restrained. He emphasized the need for the Church to rise as a beacon of hope and an instrument of peace during a time of growing uncertainty.
“Millions of people remembering our sins and asking for forgiveness, repenting, and seeking His face will make a difference,” Graham said, underscoring his belief that united prayer can lead to spiritual renewal and national healing.
