Today I was able to massage the handsome “Mo” and even got to do my first pregnancy massage on the buckskin named “Paige.” They both enjoyed their massages, but I think momma to be appreciated it even more!

Luke got his first massage today!

It was so nice to give this sweet boy a massage since he has taken such good care of me on several trail rides. I’m pretty sure he was snoozing within the first 5 minutes.

Well I have to admit this is the first time I cried when I got to my car to leave. Annika is a kill pen rescue that was saved by a wonderful family. Since they’ve had her they have not been able to touch her in many spots, she would kick and snip to bite.

Two weeks ago I went to massage her for the first time. She was very agitated, but I was able to massage 85% of her. I did choose to stop the session due to her telling me she was over it, and for safety purposes, I decided I wouldn’t push her. This evening she was a totally different horse for me. I was able to give her a FULL massage, able to release a lot of built up tension and more importantly I earned her trust.

She was licking her lips, head low, eyes closing with heavy breaths. A few times she even leaned into me for more pressure. I am so proud of her for working with me, and learning that not all humans are bad, and that she is loved by her family.

I am so grateful to everyone who has been supporting my business, and given me referrals. It means so much to me. When I got to my car I couldn’t help but have some tears. Horses give us SO MUCH, and it feels so good to be able to give something back to them! Knowing that she is healing, and learning to trust makes me so happy for her family.

I’m really looking forward to watching her continue to heal, and love life feeling good and healthy!

I had some happy horses today! Enzo(black horse) makes me laugh so much. I don’t think I’ve ever had a client appreciate, and love a massage as much as him! Comanche had big yawns for me, and all of his super ouchie spots are GONE!! He is officially ready for monthly maintenance.

Mr. Comanche had his 3rd massage today. He has made so much improvement with just 3 treatments, and his mom says he feels great under saddle again!

Today I had the privilege to work on this handsome guy, Comanche. He had been severely kicked by an old pasture mate, and was showing signs of pain and tension. Once we gently worked through those “hot spots,” he was able to relax and fully enjoy his massage.

It is always rewarding when I see the horses start to relax while getting their massage, but when they’ve had an injury and their owner begins to cry with joy, it truly reminds me that this is my purpose. I couldn’t imagine having a better job, than to care for these amazing animals, and show them love and kindness.
