I spent hours as a little girl drawing pictures of rescue/kennel set ups and plans. Running a rescue has LITERALLY always been a dream of mine.
Im proud of what we’ve created with our rescue & I love everything we stand for. However, the last year has been hard. It’s really pushed my limits. I’m stressed😓💔.
We’ve had issues with fosters. There are always more animals in need. There are always people blaming us for one thing or another. There are always people with opinions on how we “should” do things. There are always vet bills needing to be paid. There’s always a fundraiser to plan. This has been a hard year in rescue, and sometimes we wonder if we want to keep going.
Out of everything, what is REALLY stressful and keeping me up at night is knowing that we owe the vet clinics that help us money. Money that just isn’t coming in. Donations are WAY down. Facebook views are also WAY down ever since the AI update 😞 We are completely out of puppy pads AND dry cat food, but if I go buy these things for the 150+ cats and dogs we have in our care, that’s less money going towards these vet bills. We need the clinics that work with us to continue to support what we do, but if we don’t keep up on payments, they won’t be able to do that. 😓💔
We have honestly thought about having to shut down the rescue. Not because we want to - we love what we do. We just don’t know how to get followers to share & donate any more. We used to post for items and get piles of donations, now we’re lucky to get 3-4 donations when we BEG for supplies. 😞

We don't think so! We think Crinkle is just the best boy! He is good with dogs, cats, kids, and even birds! He is still patiently waiting for his forever home and we're all hoping he finds it soon 🤞🤞🤞 he's from a litter of 14 and the last one (including mom) to be adopted 😭😭😭
He has a great personality and doesn’t understand why he hasn’t found his furever home. He loves being outside and with his foster family. He is a very sweet boy and deserves a family of his own. He does great with going potty outside as well. He is also crate trained.

With the generosity of all of our AMAZING donors, fosters, and our rescue partners Coming Back Home Rescue and Zesty Misfits we were able to pull 49 dogs/puppies!
These dogs will be going to fosters starting tonight, if you're still interested in fostering please fill out the application!
With this many dogs we could definitely still use donations towards vet care if anyone is able to donate. We could also use some supplies we've added to our wishlist to send to their foster homes with them. These dogs have never experienced having their own bed/toys/treats so we want to show them what life should be like!

Oompa and Loompa are 13 weeks old still looking for their forever homes! Well would prefer that they go together, but will considered splitting them up if there is another playful cat in the home. They are brothers and they love to play and snuggle 🥰

1:10 Friday: Feeder is out looking for the cat currently to get him so we can get him to the vet. Will update when cat has been found and contained. He does not go far, but is not always out all day long.
⚠️We are working to get the cat to us for care - we will update everybody as soon as we can⚠️ I’m sorry if this post upset some people, we are simply offering to help a cat that we otherwise would not have been able to without the support of our amazing community ❤️ comments that do not help the cat will be deleted. No other groups offered to help this cat, so would it have been better to do nothing?? Now we have the funds in place and he will receive care as soon as his finder can grab him and he gets to us.
Cat living on street suffered trauma causing painful broken leg ⚠️ needs immediate care, and we can not take in without medical funds for care. Many stray dogs in the area that will attack/kill cats and being slowed down is not safe for him. 💔 he’s literally begging for help.

Did you know that: on top of running our washer and dryer pretty much non-stop, we still have to go to the laundromat once a week to keep up 😓🫧
This weeks extra laundry cost us about $200 to wash and dry. Then another $100 in detergent, bleach and dryer sheets! These are the costs that nobody sees in rescue. This cost will likely be worse next week since our power is out right now 🙈😓

UPDATE 1/19 AM: unfortunately, we lost Littlefoot this morning. Her veterinary team did everything they could but she was just not able to fight any longer 💔 she will be cremated and is no longer struggling 😢

This tiny baby chihuahua was just surrendered and is on the way to the vet for emergency care💔 She is not even 1 lb, she is crying in pain, wobbly, freezing cold, lethargic, has bad diarrhea and is VERY pale. 😭 we’re hoping she doesn’t have parvo, but it’s not looking good.
We are calling this girl Littlefoot and she is being hospitalized and we’re praying she pulls through whatever is causing her issues. 😭

🚨🚨 Boo Update🚨🚨
Boo underwent her leg amputation procedure yesterday, and we're happy to report that she's doing well in her recovery! We estimate her age to be over 10 years old, especially since she only has five teeth left, which were also cleaned during the procedure. Boo was in quite a challenging state, covered in matted fur and burrs, and she had developed some troublesome hot spots and wounds beneath her tangled coat. Additionally, a large polyp was discovered in her ear, blocking the ear canal and causing a painful infection and discharge. 💔
The removal of the polyp has certainly alleviated Boo's discomfort though! She appears much more content now and has been enjoying snuggles in bed. We're grateful that she tested negative for both FIV and FeLV. She's a fan of soft blankets and is receiving plenty of pain medication to ensure her comfortable recovery. Your support has made all the difference in Boo's journey to a healthier and happier life! 🙏
Hannah is an incredibly playful kitten! She's 6 months old and ready to find her family! She loves other cats and would do best in a home with another playful cat or another kitten 😻 once she's comfortable with you and she will meow at you and come to you for pets! She loves pets, and, given time, will love on your head lol. She will make an amazing addition to a lucky person/family!
