Introducing the Gekko mizoramensis! 🪂🌿 Just discovered in South and Southeast Asia, this fascinating species was spotted during a gecko surveying adventure in northeastern India. With its beautiful grayish-brown coloration and distinct black lines on its head and back, this gecko truly stands out. Its webbed feet are perfect for climbing, while the ridged tail adds to its uniqueness. New Species Alert: A new species of slender snake has been found in Otishi National Park in Peru and has been named in honor of Harrison Ford for his conservation dedication. The newly described Tachymenoides harrisonfordi is a small harmless colubrid. While Harrison Ford's character Indiana Jones famously hated snakes, the real-life actor has a fondness for them and said, "The snake's got eyes you can drown in, and he spends most of the day sunning himself by a pool of dirty water — we probably would've been friends in the early '60s...".

Happy Mother's Day! An American alligator mother will protect her eggs, help babies from the nest, carry them in her mouth to water, give protection for the first few months, and sometimes even provide a nice perch. That's a busy Mom!

Sumatran Anery Reticulated Python

This beautiful male was caught a few months ago near of Pekanbaru city (Riau province, Sumatra).

Anerythristic animals (absence of red pigment) are well known from jampeanus subspecies, but there were also specimens caught on Borneo, so it is not only SD and Dwarf thing.

Anyway, the Sumatran locality brings this gene to different level, the colors and pattern are simply amazing and I can't wait for a future work with this new Anery line!
