We are patiently or not so patiently 😅 waiting for our bun Daisy to deliver kits. She hit 30 days gestation today. I check her box twice a day for kits. Anticipation is killing us here on the farm. 🐰

Meet our buns! 🐰

This is Sterling! Sterling is three years old and is a beautiful chinchilla Holland Lop. He is not the father of our upcoming litter but boy does he make some pretty babies. He is also one of the sweetest buns we have. Always ready for lovings and pets. 💕

An update of our newest litter. All 5 kits are still doing well. We have some gorgeous colors including a few brokens! These babies were born 6/13 and will be ready for their new homes 8/8. While we will not take deposits until the kits are 6 weeks of age we now offer a waitlist! Message us to get on our waitlist for your perfect backyard bun!

We have babies!! These babies were born 6/13 they are from our newcomer Daisy and Charlie. There are 5 kits as of right now. We can’t wait to watch them grow and see what colors they become. 🥰🐰

We caught this beautiful video yesterday morning of two bees 🐝 enjoying some pollen from our squash plant blooms.

While our farm focuses on breeding rabbits we give our rabbits the summer off because let’s be real, who wants to be pregnant in the Carolina heat? We have bred our new comer Daisy X Charlie. This would be her first litter and if it sticks will be the last litter until fall!

Meet our new addition Bert!

Bert is our newest addition to our breeding program and isn’t he handsome! Fawn with just a spot of brown on his nose. He is the sweetest boy and we can’t wait to see what he produces when he comes of age 🥰

Hi! My name is Brooke and I am the face behind the buns here at McMillan Backyard Farm. I’ve been breeding rabbits since 2020. As an avid animal lover I take pride in breeding quality, healthy babies for you to love. I enjoy seeing the smile on my customers faces when they pick up their buns and when they send me updates of their babies in their new homes. It’s nice to meet you and I hope to see you at the farm!

The moment we’ve all been waiting for! BABIES!!! 🐰We have two beautiful kits from the pairing Marley X Sterling. This is Sterlings first litter with us and what beautiful cuties he helped create. These buns were born 3/26/23 and will be ready for their new homes on 5/21/23 🏡

Happy almost spring everyone! We’re back! After taking the first year of our sons life off to spend time with him we are finally back to breeding! The temperatures this week will be beautiful and we’re excited to see what our new pairs bring us this spring! We currently have Betty X Charlie and Marley X Sterling!
