I have the best news to share with y’all! Grumpy face kitten Roo has been ✨ADOPTED✨ I am so thrilled with his 100% recovery from his head wound. He is the sweetest boy with the perfect grumpy face and I’ll miss him, but he found the perfect home and that’s why I do what I do ❤️

🎤Jules and full nursery update!
General: you’d have no idea but I’m on “vacation” from my actual job this week. I had 11 days off. Now I’m down to 4, so I’m going to my family’s beach condo for 2 nights. I need it desperately and every time I say I’m going, I cancel because I can’t leave my fosters. 3 days - I can do this. Plus I’ll only be 2 hours away. 🏖️
Jules: He is doing ok! His ear and tail look good. Supplemental heat brought his temp up to normal. He does have Ringworm 😩 and because of this, Jules is staying with Audra for 4 days because I can’t bring RW to the condo. THANK YOU Audra ❤️
Roo: He will be coming with me for some 1:1 time so I’ll post pix of Roo watching the 🌊.
Fidget, Mari, Suni: They love playing together and I walked into this cuddle puddle 🥰 They are ready for adoption!
Jade, Brody: After achieving their 🥇 and 🥉, they are tuckered out and have a touch of URI again. They’re still eating, playing, and doing their normal routine so I’m monitoring.

Quick Jules update while I wait for the snuggle safe to heat up. He has not eaten canned food since yesterday morning and has a low temp of 98.1°, so I’m taking him to the hospital he was originally treated at. Please keep Jules in your thoughts. He’s fought SO hard to survive so no one is giving up. He WILL be okay! 💙

Who needs ears anyway? Last night, the necrotic part of Jules’ ear fell off. I cleaned it up a bit and was able to clean out some gunk on the inside. I’ll spare you the details! I think he’s the cutest one-eared kitten ever 💙
There’s only a few most needed items left on our Amazon registry. Jules has 3 new tiny beds coming! One more and I can go 5 whole days between laundry 😬 They need to be changed every day due to the blood and ick from her ear and tail. We could still use a new scale and some Affresh more than anything else. Thanks for your support! ❤️

This is Jules, the bravest and strongest kitten I know. He survived an attack where his right ear and entire tail were ripped off. He endured extreme blood loss, pain, maggots and infection. I’ll post a video soon telling you more about Jules ❤️

My 3 hissy spitty kitties are doing SO well. Cora is vocally asking for and seeking attention. Her and Cody both purr when being loved on or held. Cody also loves belly rubs. Little boy had an ultrasound today and it showed no fluid around his brain that we could see. He loved going out in the world in the sling pouch (pictures later!). Thalia, only a few days before she passed, got really into playing with this toy. This video reminds me of how happy she was. She knew love and safety. She was warm and her belly was full. Her name meant ‘to blossom’, and so to honor Thalia I did what I think she’d want me to do and I said ‘yes’. Stay tuned for what blossomed where Thalia was her happiest.
Watch as I clean feral mama Savi and her 4 kittens (sped up). I move slowly and my eyes are on Savi at all times. Every move I make is keeping hers, her babies, and my safety in mind but also their mental health. Is that stray piece of litter worth stressing Savi and in turn her kittens? No. Do I need to change the bedding after a few days to keep them healthy? Yes. Overall she did pretty good this time and I was able to pick up and check on all 4 kittens when I finished. Cats are predatory animals, so when playing with lasers or light reflection always, always(!) make sure you end your play session with a toy they can ‘capture’. Since they can’t catch a light reflection or laser dot, they’ll end up frustrated. Rewarding them with their prey is the best way to keep your kitty happy and satisfied. ❤️

Scarlett is declining in the shelter environment. I am desperate to help find a home for her. She needs a quiet place to become comfortable, or even a barn placement where she can do her thing but still get a lot of attention. She’s a loving, playful, vocal young cat. Initially she does not like being picked up and does not want to snuggle. But she will purr until your hand falls off from petting her. I fostered her for 8 weeks, and around week 6 I was able to pick her up and hold her. She can get there with someone, she’s just not going to be an immediate snuggle, and between that and her being a black cat we’re at a crossroad. Please help me find a place for Scarlett to call home.
