We are excited and honored to announce that after more than 40 years of serving the families and pets of the New Bern community, Dr. Robert W. Ridgeway will be entering a well-deserved retirement! Though we realize that no one could possibly replace Dr. Ridgeway, we would like to take this chance to introduce Dr. Holly Horn.
Dr. Horn is a native born North Carolinian and a 2009 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She spent her first 13 years practicing both primary care and emergency medicine in south Texas. Recently, she spent a year as an emergency clinician at an emergency and specialty hospital in South Carolina, before making the decision to purchase The Pet Hospital of New Bern / The Pet Spa. She chose New Bern to be closer to family and finds it an idyllic place to raise her young son. Dr. Horn has a professional interest in emergency and urgent care as well as providing compassionate comprehensive care to clients and their beloved pets. She is excited to begin this new adventure as a practice owner with the goal of providing full spectrum care to her patients and her clients, including extending the current practice hours / day availability for urgent care.
