Larry and Laura Perkins are responsible for all of those poor dogs that Novastar just took in. All of our friends in rescue or anyone giving away or adopting out animals, please do not let this person get another animal ever! He should be on every single rescues black list.

Friends, the pope county sheriffs office is not doing a damn thing about this! If you haven’t heard of this situation please read this article. The sheriffs office and the prosecuting attorney have done nothing but give Novastar the runaround and those poor dogs are out there suffering now because pope county doesn’t care about animal welfare. There’s nothing just one person can do but we have seen what numbers can do! Everyone please share this and call the pope county sheriffs department to ask them why they are not following Arkansas law on animal abuse! Snow and colder weather is on the way and these dogs may not survive it!

We are in DESPERATE need of more foster homes. We provide everything: bedding, food, pen, dog house, vetting, a ride to and from the vet, and a transport to a forever home. We need people that are willing to spend 15 minutes a day feeding, watering, and petting a dog-that's all it takes to save lives! Thank you so much to our friend Tommy Sue for getting this momma off the roads and into her house, especially before this winter weather hit! As soon as she got her in she had her babies! Tommie Sue has been a very big help in this community to the animals abandoned and neglected. We are going to get this whole family vetted when the time comes. We could sure use some warm blankets, puppy food, dog food and puppy pads for this large family. If you can help it would be very appreciated! You can either donate here towards the supplies they need, order from Amazon, chewy or Walmart.com, or bring them to the trading post here in New Blaine. Thank you!

We will have a number of barn cats looking for homes in the next few weeks! Our barn cats will be spayed/neutered and have rabies vaccines. We do not charge an adoption fee for barn cats but have the following requirements:

-adoption application
-cats will still be fed and watered daily. Even though these are ferals, they are not 100% independent and must be provided food.
-cats will have an enclosed shelter where they can get out of the elements.

These cats have lived their lives outdoors and are happiest outdoors, but they still must be provided necessities and a few comforts. We want all of our cats to end up in a better place than where we found them❤️
