Here at New England Breeders Service and Black Magic Friesian Sporthorses, if there’s one thing in our horses’ day to day lives it’s FORAGE! This winter got rough very quickly but we are fortunate that with our horses all having 24/7 access to forage that they are looking great. Tonight with the cold snap many of our horses also got a warm mash with electrolytes. We appreciate what a good diet with consistent hay/alfalfa can do for the health, happiness, and wellbeing of all the horses that step foot on our property.
As exampled by our coming 24 year old resident stallion, “Champ” enjoying his mash during a blanket change tonight.

He is in your pocket, will load on the trailer, he tolerates clippers, stands for the farrier, today we even introduced him to a flag and he took it like a champ! If you’re looking for the horse that will take anything in stride (and look great doing it), Yondu is your guy. His lofty uphill gaits lend themselves to any direction you may want to take him.
