They say you can’t ride papers, and while that is technically true bloodlines still have a huge impact. Breeders have worked hard to select horses who are naturally good minded and trainable. After generations of careful breeding you end up with great horses like this 2 year old by Hashtags and out of a Bet Hesa Cat mare. Owned and loved by an 8 year old girl, this filly was the mount for her first time practicing sliding stops. We think they nailed it!

Thank goodness High Cotton Promotions was around taking photos of the Stock Horse of Texas World Show 2024 as these screenshots from videos do not do these horses and riders justice! Thankfully their photos came out phenomenal and we’re excited to see everyone’s show shots! It’s been a busy week getting back to normal and sorting through all the footage from the show. We are so incredibly proud of everyone. Many of you had what was by far your best runs ever- good choice of which show to lay those runs down at!

We had multiple wins and lots of top placings. But more importantly, we had fun. Thank you to all the great clients for an incredible show season.

Huge shout out to Megan Hughes, Jill Long Mata, Allison Frank, Lindsay Covey Dennis, and Connie Covey for doing a killer job on the stall decorating contest! You guys did amazing work and it looked so good! It was a well deserved win for you all.

A massive thank you goes out to Sarah Sell and Amy Robinson for making the drive to Abilene and offering your help and support. We appreciate you guys more than we can ever say.

The Stock Horse of Texas World Show 2024 may be over but the work never is. FPH had an excellent show with several wins and many top placings. Keep your eyes out for an official post once we get the chance to sort through photos, but in the mean time enjoy this shot of a few of our team members enjoying a great show put on by SHTX!

It’s been a busy week after getting back from the show and we hadn’t had a chance to post yet.The last regular season SHTX show is over and it was another great one! Next up is the SHTX World Show in a few weeks!

We had too many riders in too many classes to try and list them all, but everyone did so well! We again had wins in the reining pen as well top placings (2nd or 3rd) in trail, cow, and pleasure in divisions ranging from Open to Level 1 Novice.

Thank you to Stock Horse of Texas for putting on yet another great show. We’re very lucky to have an excellent association close to us to be a part of.

We cheer for other athletes before they reach the finish line. So cheer for yourself even if you haven’t reached your goals yet.

It’s been a busy week catching up after being gone for a horse show so we’re a little behind posting. Nonetheless, we’re so proud of everyone’s work last weekend at the Stock Horse of Texas Hamilton Show. Many goals were met and our riders had fabulous rides in every class. Several horses and riders had their best runs ever with new personal high scores! We are so thankful for the great group of riders we get to coach and the cool horses we get to work with.

We’ve got a week and a half and then we’ll be back at it again in Bryan for the second to last SHTX Show of the year.

Huge thank you to Stock Horse of Texas for putting on such great shows. We have no idea how you manage to make everything run so smoothly but you guys do a great job of it! You’re the Chick-Fil-A drive thru of horse shows- efficient and excellent!

It might have been hot outside but Finn Performance Horses brought the real heat at the Sweetwater Stock Horse of Texas Show with wins, reserve, or top three in every discipline our riders entered. Our riders won reining, cow work, and pleasure, reserve in trail, and top three in cutting, as well as an All Around Champion and two Reserve All Around Champions. The only class SHTX offered that we didn’t have a top placing in was Ranch Riding and that’s because none of our crew entered it. In multiple classes more than one FPH riders took up spots in the top placings.

Good work team! We are so proud of you all and your horses. Your hard work is paying off!
