We are quickly approaching the final stretch of our remodel project! The goal for this enormous endeavor was to modernize our facility in order to bring a better hospital experience for you and your furry friends.
We have made a lot of progress in the past few months but still have some work ahead. Please be advised that work is currently being done at the back of the building. For your safety, the parking lot and rear entrance are closed to clients at this time. We request that you park on 3rd Avenue and enter through the front door. Introducing our Family Pet Classes!

These are family friendly, informational events! We will go over things such as supplies needed, basic care, basic grooming, how to introduce the new pet to existing pets, training, and enrichment.

Pet owners of all experience levels are encouraged to attend the events. You can be a very experienced pet owner of multiple years or a family who hasn’t even brought home their first pet yet.

Have your kids been asking for their first pet? This is a great way to let them ask questions and find out what it will take to care for a new member of the family!

This will be an hour long talk and demonstration. We are asking that adults register, but all children under 18 are invited to come along with their registered adult.

Please leave your new pet at home. We will have shelter pets with us for the demonstrations. Snacks will be provided for the humans.

Happy Purrsday Thursday everyone! Stormi the cat is celebrity at Big Rock. When she arrives for an appointment, the team eagerly gathers around to watch her eat cherry tomatoes. You heard that right. Stormi is known as “the tomato eating cat!” She readily gobbles those little tasty treats, seeds and all. Does your cat eat crazy things? 🐈‍⬛💕🍅🤷‍♀️

This is Charley. He is 19 years young and living his best life! But Charley didn’t always feel this pawesome. For many years he suffered from osteoarthritis and had trouble jumping and climbing. He didn’t feel like playing with toys, didn’t like to be brushed or touched near his hips. Until recently, the only treatments for feline arthritis were pills, powders and treats. While feline OA isn’t curable, we are able to manage it more effectively with a once-a-month injection called Solensia. Charley’s mom noticed a difference in his behavior within a few weeks of his first injection. He is grooming himself again, climbing on the high shelf of his cat tree, and playing with toys! She graduated from the University of Georgia in 1990, then completed an internship in Anesthesiology. She has been in private practice since then, and is passionate about advocating for her patients who cannot speak for themselves.
