Help Find Cosmo

Cosmo went to the vet today, just a routine checkup since he was missing for so long. He’s in perfect health, agile, and well other than being a little slim. The vet said it could be a couple of months for him to acclimate and gain his weight back.
Here’s a pic of some tail feathers. One we found in the moving truck the day he went missing. I kept it in my kitchen window to remind me of him. The other I pulled from his cage today. I’ll probably make them into earrings and remind myself always of the good fortune we have.

Without any doubt, this is our Cosmo. Bugbee welcome him home with open wings.
I cried some tears of joy hearing them sing their happy songs while enjoying some seeds together. Bug has missed him as much as I have and has been totally lost since Cosmo got out. I’m so happy for them to be reunited. Our home is filled with the sounds of happy trills.

Thanks to everyone for the shares, likes, comments, and leads. Cosmo is coming home today! After 6 weeks lost in CT, he wandered into someone’s home and they found me through this page. These kind people kept him for the week, took good care of him, and kept me updated with pics and videos until we could make the 4 hour drive down to see him. I was sure we would see him and go “oh no that’s not him” and turn around and go home, but instead we were comforted that this is likely him! He no longer has his bracelet but there’s a scratch on his foot from where it probably got pulled off. I probably won’t be 100% sure it’s Cosmo until we’re at home and he’s perched on my head where he belongs. It has been a heart wrenching 6 weeks wondering if he was okay, fed, warm, or even alive, but now I can rest assured that my best bud is resilient and was looking for me too.

Cosmo has been missing since 3/14 from City Ave in New Britain, CT. I know at this point finding him is a longshot, but he’s my buddy so I can’t give up. Please share and report any found parakeets to New Britain animal control, local avian vets, or my page.

This is Cosmo, he went missing 3/14 in New Britain, CT. He is my best bud and I’m desperately seeking information on his location. If you hear about a found parakeet, spot him out in town, or catch him, please reach out.
He is very friendly and will likely approach people. If you have bird feeders, please watch them closely to see if he is visiting for seeds.

A funny thing about Cosmo is that he’s really smart and knows a lot of words, but never learned his name. Instead, he learned “hi buddy” and likely thinks his name is buddy 😆
