So I have been going through the comments on my videos and I find a lot of people have been asking me how I trained my cat to go on the wheel , I try my best to answer as many comments as I can so I apologize if I haven’t been able to answer every question . So I thought I’d make a post sharing my experience .

So I got the wheel back in 2021 from OneFastCat . Lindo (my brown spotted bengal) was about 2 years old at the time . He took to it from day 1 . To be honest I hardly had to train him . I used a wand toy for a few minutes the very first day and shortly after he was good to go on his own . Of course it wasn’t perfect but he was learning on his own . Within a span of weeks he was pretty much a pro and very comfortable on it 😅. Personality wise he’s super energetic , playful, curious and super intelligent .

As for Guccie (my tabby) , he had zero interest in it . I did try to train him and he did manage to walk a few steps here and there but he just did not enjoy it enough to go walk on it on his own . He’s also not as energetic as Lindo , he’s more of a couch potato 😅

As for Prince (my other bengal) , he was adopted 5 months ago . I’ve been trying to train him here and there , just started training him but I’ll be completely honest I don’t think it’s for him . He doesn’t seem interested , his personality is kind of in between Guccie’s and Lindo’s , not overly energetic and not a couch potato , kind of somewhere in the middle .

So with all that being said, based on my experience I’d say the wheel is definitely not for every cat , it’s recommended more for super energetic and playful cats with a curious personality . So if your cat has a similar personality to my cat (Lindo) I definitely recommend it, otherwise I don’t know how well it’s gonna work out (it might who knows) . And as a lot of people have also asked me if it’s returnable if you purchase it and the cats don’t use , I checked the website where I purchased it from and they do have a 30 day return policy 🙂
