• Promotes healing by increasing the flow of nutrients to the muscles and carrying away excessive fluids and toxins.
• Reduces inflammation and swelling in joints, thereby alleviating pain, by improving circulation.
• Creates a positive effect on the contractual and release process of the muscles. When tension is released, muscle relax.
• Assists in balancing the body by treating the body as a whole rather than each individual part.
• Stimulates circulation by “defrosting frozen muscles” thereby releasing endorphins- natural pain killers. Improved circulation also increases the excretion of toxins through the skin.
• Enhances muscle tone and increases range of motion. • Helps maintain the whole body in better physical condition. • Helps alleviate muscles spasms and fatigue thus reducing the risk of tearing or pulling muscles. • Increases range of motion and enhances muscle tone.
• Promotes more rapid healing of injuries by improving circulation.
• Improves performance and athletic ability.
• May help prevent colic by keeping the intestinal tract moving as it should.
Pre & post event benefits:
• Minimizes stiffness
• Enhance tissue repair
• Maintain suppleness and strength
• Maintain healthy muscles
Pre & post event massage both are done same day of the event
Thermal imaging:
Can show areas of infection, heat, inflammation, cold, and reduced blood flow in the skeletal, muscular, nervous, and vascular systems. It is a non-invasive technique that measures the differences in surface temperature of the object being imaged. I take thermal images on horses, dogs, and cats.
Benefits of thermal imaging:
• Improper saddle fit; injury and or back problems
• Muscle pain; and or injury; muscle tears
• Dental issues
• Identify lameness
• As a follow up and monitor therapeutic activities
• Post-op monitoring to evaluate the possibility of infections and overall recovery
• Hoof balance, thrush, abscesses, and bruising, etc
• Tendon and ligament issues
• Pre- purchase exams
• Skeletal and joint issues
I can point out cool and heat areas but only a veterinarian can diagnose and prescribe! I take the images and can send to your veterinarian and can also send the images to you and put them on a dvd.
Rehabilitation: 30 day rehab therapy
Includes 7 massages focuses on building and toning muscles. Your horse will have therapy everyday for 30 days. This ensures they gain the muscle desired, some horses may take longer than 30 days.
Common behavior issues related to back pain and or saddle fit:
• Difficult to shoe
• Cold- backed while mounting
• Bucks or rolls excessively
• Reluctant to stride out
• Slow to warm up or relax while riding
• Inability to travel straight

If your horse is showing any of these signs they could benefit from massage.
Raindrop therapy: essential oil
A technique that enhances the immune system, invigorates the horse, removes excess toxins, and alleviates back pain while relaxing muscles. Beneficial to horses with EPM, founder, heaves, extremely sore, arthritis, and other neurological disorders. It has been known to help anti-infectious, respiratory and digestive complaints, and strengthens blood capillaries. It is applied in a sequence at various body locations; along with massage that penetrates and activates the oils into the skin while alleviating muscle soreness.
