THE CATS IN THE HATS
CeeCee, in the bonnet, and Bowie were good little pilgrims as they donned festive holiday hats to wish you HAPPY THANKSGIVING, customers and friends! They happily slurped their Churus a little later. THANK YOU!
As the recovery continues in western North Carolina after the horrific flooding there, Cat-in-the-bag is grateful for its friends who pitched in to help! We raised nearly $500 for our fundraising arm the Allie Foundation, and the foundation will match $500. We are able to send $1,000 now to Brother Wolf Animal Rescue of Asheville, whose shelter was ruined in the floods. The devastating floods Hurricane Helene unleashed on western North Carolina has had a profound impact on the animals in this beautiful region.

Asheville was hit hard by the flooding. A shelter there called Brother Wolf Animal Rescue lost everything and is raising money to rebuild. OH THAT FACE!
"I have a spicy little cat who is most adept at wriggling out of holds just to get her into a carrier," says Michele. "But this works wonderfully. We’ve made two recent trips to the vet on public transportation and she was great.
"In her old carrier she would have been yowling and trying to escape. Not from the bag. The two-sided zipper let the vet examine her and the technicians to draw blood, give her fluids and an injection. SUNNY DISPOSITION!
"I have a kitty that not only gets motion sickness but also has a ton of anxiety," says Jennifer.
"She gets so worked up on car rides that her vet-prescribed medication just doesn't work. She ends up drooling, vomiting, urinating and messing herself in her kennel.
"I bought this as a last hope. I thought to myself that I also would feel the same if locked in a cage inside a moving vehicle."

LET'S CELEBRATE!
Leading off our best wishes to you all for a happy and safe Fourth of July is Bowie, our newest Cat-in-the-bag cat! We believe he's about 7 months old now. He showed up two months ago on the right front porch -- ours -- where he desperately tried to plead his case for coming inside and a bite to eat. He had a flea collar on that was starting to dig into his neck. We believe he was abandoned by someone who moved away. He and his big sister CeeCee are getting acquainted still, and he's settling very well into life here and his new Cat-in-the-bag role. He's pleased to meet you all!

AH, HEAAAAAAL NO!

Don't buy our carrier from Sears website Global Marketplace seller Global Discount Store. This is none other than Chinese products peddler AliExpress.
They have used our marketing materials (pictures, listing information) that they stole from Amazon and our Website to make it look like they have our carriers for sale. They don't.
They are charging $51, supposedly for the carrier we sell for $39.95-$41.95. We don't know how they plan to deliver on sales of our carrier. They could buy it off one of our authorized dealers and have it sent to you while they pocket the difference. Would they just send you nothing, maybe? Or they could send you a little, cheap plasticky knockoff they sell on their own platform, currently for around $4.
They claim to have an address in Texas. They don't appear to us to really be there. The sign on the building doesn't have their name on it. They would drop ship those knockoffs straight from China, most likely -- a long wait for a cheap copy.

This is exciting news! We lost a kitten a few years ago to this horrible disease. The situation was even more horrible because treatments do exist but were never made available. The treatment won't be available until June and may be hard to obtain at first because of demand, according to this article we're linking to.
