Our 4th Annual Pawstock Event is just around the coorner. All of the proceeds from this fall basket raffle benefit the animals at the Lawrence County Humane Society's general fund.

When: Saturday October 5, 2024, from noon to 4pm

Where: Cascade Park Dance Hall

There will be:

A basket raffle
bake sale
50/50 raffle
carnival food
a live DJ
and more

Due to there being structural damage to the carousel building, we have to use the dance hall for this year's event. So, sadly that means all pets will have to stay at home due to state and park regulations. We hope to have the outdoor venue for next year as we love seeing all of the dogs.

This is a cash only event. All games of chance tickets must be paid for in cash due to PA Games of Chance Laws.

We hope to see you all there!

We are in need of baskets for our raffle. If you would like to donate a basket of item, they can be dropped off at LCHS during our normal hours of operation. We appreciate all of your support!

LCHS is now 4 dogs over capacity and cannot take in any more animals at this time. We hate turning them away, but we have a choice right now.

If you would like to help, we can use some supplies.

Dry dog food (Purina one Chicken and rice or lamb and rice)
Canned dog food ground beef style
Purina Kitten chow
Clay Non clumping cat litter
Purina Naturals dry cat food (Original formula please)

We are always looking for new volunteers to help clean and walk our dogs. If you are interested in volunteering, please give us a call at 724 654-8520 to be added to our call list for the next volunteer orientation, which will be coming up soon.

Stop by the shelter and place your orders. Your pups will love these delicious treats!

We are extremely excited about this one and could really use some help making this happen! Think of this similar to a school fundraiser (which we'd love to eventually work towards that!)

Introducing our Pawsitive Impact Biscuits! Our goal with these biscuits is to give back as much as possible to different local, non profits!

First up is The Humane Society of Lawrence County PA! Each bag of Biscuits is packed full of natural dog treats made with minimal ingredients!

Orders will be accepted now until September 14. Payment is due in full when placing an order. Then orders will be available for pickup the week of October 1. Specific delivery dates will be announced after we get an idea of how many orders are placed!

Paper orders forms will be available at the Humane Society this week and we will have forms at our booth at the Growers & Makers Market on Saturday!

This spunky young cookie entrepreneur made a stand for the animals at LCHS today, and her lemonade and cookie stand was the talk of the town! She even managed to flag down a bus full of customers. Her dedication paid off, raising almost $200 for the furry friends. We are so impressed by her initiative and generosity! We are so grateful!❤️🐕🐱🐾

❤️Meet the inspirational beagle named Amber!

You may recognize this sweet girl as she was the one that was running in Union Township behind Tractor Supply. After several weeks of her eluding trappers, a kind samaritan managed to trap her and bring her to LCHS. This poor girl was covered in ticks, filthy , and having some tummy issues. She was taken to the vet right away. Upon examination, she was also found to have Lyme disease and a mouthful of terrible teeth. Her tummy issues have resolved, she has been spayed, her Lyme disease is under treatment, and all of those bad teeth were taken out. Now sweet Miss Amber is ready to find her perfect match! Could that be you?

For those who are not interested in participating, there will be a sizable basket raffle. This poor girl came to us today covered in fleas, underweight, with overgrown nails, and a terrible skin infection. Thankfully, she got to see Dr. Carr today and is on the road to recovery. With some TLC, special shampoo, and antibiotics, she will hopefully be well enough to find her forever home soon. 🐾🐾
