Perhaps one of our most favorite things is getting Thank You notes from our Junior Farmers after camp is over for the summer! ☀️
This collection of notes grows every year (yes, we keep them all!) and looking through all of them brings enormous smiles to our faces. 💚
Our educational programming at the farm is an element of our work and mission that we know is the most important.
Teaching the kids in our community about how their food grows, where it comes from, sustainable food, and the joys of being in nature is unparalleled.
And in a world where kids are becoming increasingly more addicted to screens, we know their time at Cropsey provides time to reconnect and strengthen their mental health.
Over the years we’ve worked with countless numbers of children and schools to bring the powerful benefits of farm life to them - leaving a legacy of Rockland kids growing up with the awareness of the benefits of sustainable agriculture, community experiences, and the power of nature.
If you support our mission to continue bringing creative, joyful, and educational experiences to our kids, please join us for our upcoming Twilight Dinner on September 20th!
This event will not only be an incredible evening for you, but all proceeds will go to benefiting and fortifying our programs to ensure that they remain for years to come.
We look forward to hosting you, and thank you to all of the kids and families who’ve been part of these cherished memories!

We streched the mozz! 😆
Last Thursday the hilarious and fun guys from @stretchthemozz hosted an amazing event with us.
We not only learned how to make mozzarella from scratch (and play with it!), but were able to enjoy it with exceptionally fresh produce from the farm. 😋
Can every ladies night be this delicious??
We want to thank every wonderful woman who came to laugh and dine with us last week - each one of you made this experience a blast! 💚
Our next incredible dining event is coming up in just a few weeks - our annual Twilight Dinner! ✨
This event is our most renowned experience of the year. Your ticket gets you a seat at the most locally-sourced dinner party you've ever been to: our caterers cook with all the ingredients we grow right here on Cropsey Farm! There are drinks, music, a plenty of opportunities to walk the farm 🌿
There are also opportunities for your business to sponsor this event, and empower our mission to conserve farmland and promote education by bringing together our communities.
Join us Friday, Sept 20 at 5pm ✨

We’re so lucky to be a part of community that is always ready and willing to get involved!
In early May we had 3 interns step up, help out, and learn much of what there is to learn about working on a farm 🧑🏻🌾
And they created this video!
In a few of their own words:
”I just wanted to say thank you so much to you and the rest of the farm team for providing me with the opportunity to intern and such a lovely experience. I really learned a lot about farming, and I am looking forward to visiting the farm (especially Foo Foo 🐰) over the summer!”
We’re so grateful for these 3 young ladies!
Are you interested in getting involved at the farm?
Do you want to meet other folks interested in sustainable agriculture and supporting our local community?
Get involved!
☀️ This Saturday, June 22nd join us for a Volunteer Day where we make our farm ready for Junior Farmer's Camp!
Individuals and families alike are welcome 🙌🏻
If you're under 18, you must be accompanied by an adult while at the farm.
🤔 Can’t make it this Saturday?
We have a whole bunch of ways for you to get involved on the farm – from working with the animals, to helping with seasonal projects – we’d love for you to join us.
Visit Rocklandfarm.org/how-you-can-help for more info and to sign up for Saturday!
See you in the fields! 🌿
Want an organic (and seemingly counterintuitive) solution to pest control on your produce?
Use beneficial insects! 🐛
Using beneficial insects to help control pests on our crops is called Integrated Pest Management.
It can help help reduce damage to plants and reduce the need to spray chemicals.
(Note: We only spray as a last resort and never synthetic chemicals)
This week we released these tiny wasps to specifically hunt the #aphids, in addition to removing debris and weeds where aphids hang out. Hopefully will help reduce the nasty aphid population! 🤞🏻
Chances are these tomato plants will be a little late to fruit this year because of the infestation, but we're doing our best to get all the tomatoes healthy.
Have you used beneficial insects to help control pests on your produce?
Let us know about your experience in the comments!
Happy Birthday Iggy Piggy! 🥳
When we rescued Iggy last year we had no idea how much this little cutie would make an impact on our community. Iggy has quickly become a favorite character here at the farm, and her sweetness is felt by everyone who meets her.
Join us in wishing Iggy a happy 1st birthday! 🎉
