Not only is the school year starting for young kids to high school aged kids.. but college students as well!

Bacterial meningitis is a rare but very serious disease. Students in 7th and 12th grade receive MCV4 but unfortunately it only covers 4 serogroups (A,C,W and Y). The preferred age range for the vaccine is 16 to 18. Those who are 16 to 23 may receive the vaccination as well!

We offer this vaccine!

Our thoughts and prayers are with Tom's family and everyone at the Marshall County Health Department as they navigate through this difficult time.

It is with the utmost sadness that we share the loss of our beloved Administrator, Tom Cook. Please lift his wife Cindy and their family up in prayer during this very difficult time. The Marshall County Health Department has lost one of the finest selfless men who was not only our leader but our family. Tom has held many roles in healthcare over the years and has always been an outstanding leader. Rest in Peace Tom, thank you so much for your life long service to public health. With much love from your work family.
