Found this beautiful butterfly laying on a pathway just seconds after I asked god to take a battle from me. It didn’t appear to be injured just by looking at it. I realized it was dead the moment I was going to pick it up, and instantly I felt God. This butterfly sacrificed its own life to take what I was praying for god to remove from mine.

For a few moments I thought let me keep this butterfly so I can preserve it, have it last forever. God then spoke by saying: Beautiful things are not meant to last forever, they are meant to be set free for when they are set free the beauty of things then become even more beautiful, but if we hold onto them to preserve the beauty that exists, we prevent the light from transforming them into something even more beautiful than they already are. Letting go and into the hands of god allows room for transformation to occur, for rebirth to take place, for new life to be created, along with new beauty to be witnessed. The beauty of God is all around us; let us not hold onto the beauty, that is free; rather allow the beauty of God to transform.

God is not forcing his presence into our lives and saying let me help you; instead he’s asking how may I help you? Listen carefully and invite God to help you with your battles. Surrender them into gods hands, he’s waiting for you to ask. Ask, and you shall receive, Listen, and you shall hear, Let go; and with the guidance of God, you shall be free to transform.

Just because something is broken doesn’t mean it can’t heal…

Something has to break in order to regrow again, to rise up stronger and wiser than the old version it once was.

Two years ago this tree lost a limb during a storm. Prior to this event there was no growth happening instead it looked to be dying. Almost instantly after breaking, it started regrowing right where it broke off.

Goes to show you that sometimes we have to die a little in order to regrow again. Let this dogwood tree be a friendly reminder that we have to let go of what’s holding us back to live, love, and grow

“No matter how dark the night, no matter how high the waves, no matter how strong the wind, or how wet the water Peter knew it was safer out of the ship in the storm with Jesus then being in a ship in a storm without Jesus.”

Jesus will allow us to go through storms in our lives, ultimately for our good and his glory. It doesn’t mean that during this time he is ever far from us, or that your faith will ever be perfect; at times we will doubt; but we have to remember that god is working all things for our good. God knows the storms we are going through because he has sent us into them; and our focus during this time, must not be on anything other than keeping it on the one who is allowing us to go through the storms and trials; god of the universe. We might lose sight of Jesus, but Jesus will never lose sight of us.

When we fail to get out of the boat and put our complete trust in the lord, is when we miss out on all of the miracles that lie upon, within, and beneath the water. If we remain on the boat, we will never know what it’s like to walk on water. Experiences that can only happen by trusting that there is nothing to fear, because Jesus is God, so he is in control, and even if things don’t work out, the captain of the sea will not let you go too far under. However, the promise is not that the storm will stop, but that your eyes will be opened and your faith will be strengthened by Jesus showing us who he is through it all.
