My FURiend here may have had a bad experience in the past with getting his nails trimmed, and now he’s nervous so he growls and COULD bite out of fear, so a muzzle is for caution. Dogs growl for many reasons. It’s important to consider the context, body language, breed, size, and prior learning.

The “first timer” puppies humble you 😅 it’s a learning process for the both of us that requires patience and dedication. The reward of trust in the end is so fulfilling 😌
Generally puppies should visit a groomer no earlier than 12 weeks and no later than 6 months. You can begin the process by helping your pup become comfortable with you touching their fur, paws, nails, ears, and teeth from as young of an age as possible. You need to do this often, before introducing your pup to the brush.
Introduce your puppy to grooming tools like brushes, combs. **Use positive reinforcement and treats to create positive associations with the tools.
-Brush regularly especially if you are bathing at home, wearing a harness or clothes, brush, brush brush to avoid any tangles/mats.

It’s this cuties first time being groomed 😅 first grooms can either be easy breezy OR a learning process… having a “stranger come into your home and touch all over your body can be a bit overwhelming, but with some encouraging words from “dad” and some treats, we got it done ✂️💙

It’s 🐼 first time being groomed. He was a little anxious. He didn’t love it, but he didn’t hate it either 🙃with some positive encouragement from myself and My kitty, Kemet 🐱 he prevailed 😄

This cutie had an “inspiration picture” for their haircut. Pictures are always welcomed for haircuts, however ☝🏽 the condition of the coat will ultimately determine the length or desired look. So brush, brush , and then go over with a comb to ensure there is no tangles & mats.
