Adoption #1049: Alvin! As one of the Waterbury cats, Alvin had a fiery start, but once he arrived at the café, his laid-back and lovable side quickly stole the spotlight. He charmed everyone with his calm demeanor and big heart. When his new mom came to take him home, Alvin sealed the deal with his signature move—adorably putting his paws together as if to say, “please, let’s go home.” And now, he’s exactly where he belongs. Hi, I’m Hero! I had some urinary troubles in my previous home - nothing contagious or scary, just something called FLUTD (feline lower urinary tract disease) that flares up when I get really stressed. My old family couldn’t commit to my special needs, but the amazing people at HHR made sure I got the care I needed.

Now, I’m back to my sweet, playful self! To stay healthy, I’ll need a wet food-only diet (no dry kibble for me!) and a calm, low-stress home. I love other cats and would be so happy to have a buddy to play with in my new family. Come meet me and let me be your Hero!

Our heat’s not working! 🥶 No worries, the cats are toasty warm at HHR’s facilities. It should be fixed tomorrow, but we need all the positive vibes we can get! Three separate issues with the furnace, culminating in a broken motor 😫 We thank you for your patience while we await good news. Send us pics of your cats while we miss ours 🥲
