“It takes a village” has never been more accurate than today! I brought 3 of our black pearls to the local grounds for a Champlain Valley Horse Shows show! Geertje in adult walk trot with our adult amateur Gail Jacoby, Neeltje being shown by our good friend Sara Giard in Green horse because at a ripe age of 12, she’s never been to a show! And I brought Jitske our 5 year old mare in green horse! We’ve come home with some beautiful memories! Thank you to Shelly Edson for putting on such an amazing show for our horses to gain experience. (Even between the rain showers! The mud was epic!!) Tomorrow we go again!

Here’s a little breakdown of the costs of a boarding facility. And these costs were last year and grain is up almost 25 percent from last year.

Yes, I know costs differ in different areas of the states. Just remember we do this for our enjoyment and not to actually make money! Because the truth is? WE DON’T.

As you all know, there are many different ways to do the same thing! For example, do you lean forward before you start walking, or do you pick up your foot first?? Does your arm move before your leg, or your leg before your arm? It’s the same when we ride! We have a wonderful opportunity to learn more about it when Jenny comes to visit at the end of month!

It was a busy day today! Turn out in the mist this morning was magical! Acorn was posing wil the early fall colors and Tjibbe had a play date with Fin while Mark our farrier reset and trimmed some horses!
