FHF’s 2nd week at TIEC’s Fall 2 Show was all about the hunters :)

🌟 .eq and ‘All the Chrome’ came home with Reserve Champion for the weekend in the Low Adults, in addition to 1sts in both the Adult Eq on the Flat and the Tryon Low Adult Medal, a 2nd in the Low Adult Hunter Challenge, and 3rd in the National $1500 Open Derby. Way to show us how it’s done!

🌟 .eq and ‘According II’ also came home with a win in the Low Children’s Hunters, 8th in the National $1,500 Open Derby, and a 3rd in the Tryon Low Children’s Medal. Excellent job making progress towards your riding goals!

🌟 .atkinson and ‘Diadeem’ had a stellar debut with team FHF and wrapped up the week with three 1sts and a 2nd in the Low Adult Hunters to make them Champions in the Low Adult Hunters! In addition, the pair also had excellent placings in the Adult Eq on the Flat, and Foothills U/S class. We cant wait to see what comes next for this awesome pair and are so happy to see them back in the show ring!

As always, thank you to , Miguel, Abi, Melany, Terri and the rest of the FHF family for the support and dedication throughout the weekend both at home and on the road. We are so lucky to have such an amazing barn family!

🐎 Today is a bittersweet day at FHF - Roess Makgill wraps up teaching riding lessons at the barn as she moves on in a new role using her teaching talents in the classroom. FHF round up for Tryon Summer 3:eq and Chrome were Reserve Champion in the Low Adults, they also won the medal class on Saturday and the Hunter Challenge on Sunday.
and Ducky had a great show! They were Champion in the .90 Non-Pro Jumpers.
& Remy had some good trips in the jumpers and are continuing to build their relationship.
As always, many thanks to Miguel, whose calm demeanor was invaluable, especially this show with a blown tire on the way to the show!

Abi and Melany were rockstars as usual and kept the farm running while we were away.

FHF is starting a fun weekend with .eq and her All the Chrome placing 3rd and 4th in the USHJA 2’6”, as well as a 4th place in the under saddle class. Go Team 👏 and can’t wait to see what the rest of the weekend brings!

Tryon Spring 2 was a great time for the FHF gang 😎

Rachel Smith & Chrome had decisive victories in Adult Eq flat class and closed the week with a win in the Hunter Challenge!

Sarah Vossers & Ducky made it back into the show ring after taking some time off for school and laid down solid trips. We’re excited to see this pair back at it!

We are so proud of Jenna Allen & Remy for their first time moving up to the .90m jumpers. It was also their first time at Tryon and they improved every ride!

So proud of our FHF riders on our first outing of the show season at Sedgefield at the Park!

Katie Mode McKeithan and Heaven had their first successful trip out since colic surgery.
Lauren Emmalee Wareham and Dallas had great trips at their first show as a team. Special thanks to Blake and Chris Oeters for letting it happen.
Wendy Aves and Cekacia & Kate Grossman and Farley placed 5th and 7th respectively in their Classic rounds.
Jenna Allen and Remy moved up to the 2’9” and placed 6th in the Classic.
Laura C. Ehrhardt and Watchtower tagged along for “Bee’s” very first horse show experience - it was a success!

A big thanks to Jenna Mack for trailering and excellent warm up rides, Miguel for his hard work (and endless patience), as well as Sara O and Jenn C for being the best barn moms!
Finally, a special thanks to Abi Mejia and Melany for keeping the home fort running while we were gone - we couldn’t do it without you!

Aiken Sunmer Classic is a wrap! Rachel Smith and All The Chrome topped both the low adult eq on the flat and over fences! They also swept their division with 1sts and 2nds to take champion!

Audrey Rappaport and SRF Farley’s First jumped clear to the blue in their .85m and .95m training rounds through the week!

Vance Luster and According II You jumped to placing a in each class in the low childrens hunters!

Lynn Gomes jumped to 2nd with Java’s Jonny Red in the 1m adult jumpers and to a 5th and 9th in the classic with Dolare!

Aloft Equestrian’s Concardus jumped to 5th in the 1.30m along with a placing in the Welcome and a great round in the Grand Prix!

Our first big show of the year was a major success!

Rachel Smith and All The Chrome finished with a pair of 2nd places in the Low Adult hunters and a 4th in the Challenge along with 2nd in the Adult Eq Flat!

Whiskey Rose and Marissa Degner did a clean sweep of the 2’3 USHJA for champion while Rollsanne Negley finished 2nd in the Short Stirrup hunters and 3rd in the Challenge!

Audrey Rappaport and Miss Douglas finished the week with a super quick and clean round their first time out in the .90m non-pro jumpers!

We are proud of our clients and horses and look forward to an exciting season ahead!

Some of our adult amateur hunter/jumper riders (and a few honorary members) took a field trip to watch dressage today! In true FHF form, the biggest culture shock was not the appreciation of good flatwork (we have some highly flatwork-motivated adults here) but not being able to whoop and cheer for friends in the show ring!

Most of us would agree that we love fall weather at the barn. Chip does not!

We currently have 2 horses available for sale!

The first is a very sweet and talented 10 year old welsh mare that measures about 13h. Very safe and kind with a big stride and would excel in the pony jumpers, eventing, fox hunting, and anything in between! More go than woah, but very respectful.

We also have a well restarted 5 year old thoroughbred gelding! Very easy going and has taken to the new work very well. Started over fences and offers nice lead changes as well!

Congrats to Jenna and Leo on a 6th place finish at the American Eventing Championships in Kentucky this week! We specialize in hunter/jumpers at FHF, but we have a special place in our hearts for these eventing superstars.

• We ended up 6th in American Eventing Prelim Amateur Championships on a 32.8 after a lovely clear round today.
