Flipper the Fussy Kitty

Flipper the Fussy Kitty This page is to spread the word that special needs kitties need a home and love too! Adopt a black Their best guess was that she had it from birth.

Flipper was rescued by Furry Friends Animal Hospital in Harvey, LA. Construction workers were digging a hole for a pipe and were about to pour cement into it, but they heard a kitty meowing, so they got her out. The vets at Furry Friends Animal Hospital discovered her front left paw was permanently turned in at the elbow. They said they saw no need to amputate. They took care of her for about 6 mo

nths, and we adopted her in early September. She started out very shy, but has since come out of her shell and is very vocal! She has such an attitude, and loves attention! She doesn't let her disability slow her down. She has 6 siblings, Gandalf, Katniss, Moko, Landon, Sebastian, and Prancer.

Say hello to Lannie! She's approximately 1-2 yrs of age & up for adoption in southern Louisiana. She's Spayed & vaccinated. Adoption fee applies and willing to transport within a 2 hour drive.

Please contact me via PM if you'd like to know her back story and find out what kind of kitty personality she might bring to your home. 🥰😁

Pics posted in chronicle order so, Im sure you can see she's put on quite a bit of weight! I might have to put her on a little diet before she can't clean her own butt.

Well, hello my Flipper the Fussy Kitty fam! Once again, me being consistent with posting updates of Flipper and our wild ride through life is a rare as a sea turtle spotted in the 🏜 desert, but here we go. But, anyway, Flipper and her kitty pose (Bates & Nala) wish to send you all positive vibes and hoping your week has been going well & send y'all all their love!

Can y'all believe this crazy girl is 11 yrs young now?! Time flies way too fast & since Moko disappeared a yr ago, I think about how little time I may have with my girl now. I have to remember to make every moment I have with them all count in every way possible.

Life has been a struggle for a few years now & being pulled back into rescue unplanned has definitely added stress, anxiety and financial struggles that have come close to disasters a couple of times, but one way or the other, things have managed to work out somehow.
I don't remember if I posted here about a kitten being dumped in my yard a few months ago as I watched them toss her tiny body out of the window like trash in horror, but if I didn't, then yes...this happened.
I named her Bailey (last pics of tabby and white kitten) and she's done wonderfully as she's learned to trust again (seemingly only me, though). I'm now trying to pull the money together to get her and another foster of mine spayed along with a Momma and her four kittens & the tasks seem daunting after all of my own personal funds have been invested in TNR work throughout the past year.
Flipper is also due to have her teeth cleaning appointment. We're actually like 5 months behind on that right now and I seriously don't want to let that go for too much longer. As anyone that's been faithful followers knows, I don't come on here asking for financial assistance with TNR expenses or anything else, for that matter. But, as of now, income being the lowest in years & ridiculously high prices for everything, I'm beginning to no longer find joy in much. The last thing needed in our lives is me struggling to care for my cats and fosters.

So, I hang my head in shame and humbly ask if you can spare anything, I'd be extremely appreciative and indebted to you for life for helping me stay afloat in my passion to help improve the lives of as many cats & kittens as I possibly can and hopefully be someone impactful in curbing these pregnancies leading to kittens and their parents die horrible deaths alone and homeless.
No amount is too little. Even $1 can go a long way so if you would like to help me help these fur babies along with helping get Flipper get to her dental check up and cleaning sooner rather than later, please know your donations will not only help these guys have their needs met but will also help anchor me in sanity for a little more time.
Also, don't feel bad if you're unable to donate! No judgement, fam! I'm broke too! 😂 But, a quick share can be just as helpful!

Again, thank you for any assistance possible, even if it's a simple share. We all love you and Flipper says thank you too!!😻

Flipper the Fussy Kitty here asking y'all to please share for us?! These two are full of energy and interrupting my beauty rest, dangit!
I need my beauty rest! 😼

Say hello to Maverick and Susie Q!

Let me begin this with saying you might find this post different from the "please adopt" post you usually see and for good reasons. I often see new adoptions posted up as "Lost" sometimes as soon as a couple weeks after their adoption. I also don't want them to go to someone that might toss them outside for behavioral issues if it ever arises.

I'm not a rescue and haven't accepted donation for any of this. No one has helped me socialize these babies. So, if you find this post blunt, it is. I will have higher stipulations for their adoption than shelters and rescues which will not only be an adoption fee & vet reference but there is a mandatory quiz in cat behavior to complete (will be posted in the comments shortly) and mandatory home check.
These two are the perfect addition to your family if you've been searching for awhile and just couldn't find "the one" yet. Well, Susie Q & Maverick might just be "the ones" for you!
It's best they are adopted together as they are very bonded. These babies were rescued with their Mom from a life on the streets and living in a trash bin. They haven't been the easiest to socialize and will need patient adopters that not only say they understand but ACTUALLY understand that if they take a week or two (even a month) to come out from under your bed doesn't mean you give up on them.
It means you place food and water for them and a litter box next to the the bed so they don't feel It means you spend time in the room with them while talking on the phone or to them so they get used to your voice. It means you have empathy and earn their trust.

Once they trust you, they are so full of love and have adorable personalities! Maverick is more apprehensive and will sit back while watching his sister to check things out first. I don't know if that's a "ladies first" move or "hey, go check it out" move to test the area/object for possible traps. But Susie is quick to have her interests perked once her curiosity trumps her fear.
They are both incredibly cute and love to snuggle. Might be a good idea to have cat trees and toys as these two will run around the house for hours at times. More things they have of theirs the less likely they will knock your things off side tables and climb your curtains!

If you live within driving distance and interested in giving these two the FUREVER HOME they deserve, go ahead and send a private message to us!
