Manske Farms is located outside of New London, WI. A family affair, the farm has been around for more than 150 years.

With about 175 cows, the farm is a dairy with soybeans, hay, and corn also being grown. They also sell produce at the Downtown Appleton Farm Market.

We’re in front of the green barn on Bean City Rd. in New London. Look for the driveway by the grain bins.

Change of plans for tomorrow!

With the pending rain tomorrow, the Downtown Appleton Farm Market is canceled. We already had some produce ready for the market when it was canceled so we are going to set up a pop up mini market in front of our green barn on Bean City Road in New London from 9 to 11 a.m tomorrow. We will have quarts of strawberries, peas, greens, limited potted plants and beef!

Something to note!

It can be surprising to see milk on the shelf next to the canned goods, but aseptic is a process that makes it possible.

Aseptic packaging involves sterilizing milk by rapidly exposing it to a high temperature, and then sterilizing the packaging to remove all bacteria.

Thanks to this impressive process, you can store aseptic milk at room temperature until it’s opened — no need to take up precious fridge space.

You may have also noticed that some packages of milk in the dairy case at the grocery store have longer “best by” dates than others. This is thanks to extended shelf life (ESL), a process that helps milk last longer before it spoils by treating the inside of the packaging to kill harmful bacteria.

The best news of all? Neither of these processes change the and health benefits of the milk, or the many ways you can use it.

Cooking, baking or straight in a glass — it’s still the same fresh, real milk!

Farming is hard work and 2023 gave us many challenges (that’s going to happen when Mother Nature is your business partner). We are grateful to our customers and those who support our family farm. We look forward to 2024 and wish you and your family health and happiness in the coming year!

It’s been a busy day chopping corn thanks to DairylandChopping! This corn silage will be used to feed our cows through the next year.

Sweet Corn!!!

🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽 It’s been a crazy week at the farm, plus it’s Waupaca County Fair week, so our apologies on the small amount of corn stand updates! We picked an abundance of corn today so come and get it! We are wrapping up this wave so you should come get some now. Hoping our next wave is just as good but it’s not ready yet. Stand is located at the Manske Rd. stand! We will also be at Downtown Appleton Farm Market tomorrow morning with corn and produce so you can catch us there too!

Fun fact: After each milking our milking system goes through a wash cycle where it is cleaned and sanitized. It is another step farmers take to be sure we are passing along a high-quality and safe product.
