Skeeterwood Acres South and North are both closed for haul-ins/lessons until further notice. Many of you are aware of the EHV outbreak that is affecting many of our barrel racing family as well as other disciplines. Skeeterwood South has already been on quarantine for a matter of weeks after picking up an illness that recently tested positive for Strangles at an out of state barrel race. IT HAPPENS THAT EASILY and it can happen to you. At this point Skeeterwood has no symptomatic horses, but needs to continue to stay isolated to stop any spread. We are thankful we picked up something treatable with a full recovery. We pray for those who have been less fortunate with EHV.

Stay home, regroup. We plan to reopen Jan 1st if all has settled. ❤️‍🩹

Welcome to Skeeterwood Acres!

Winter haul ins available for $15 per horse or $25 per trailer. Monthly rates and private rentals (clinics, team practices etc) also available.

Need a layover or a short-term stay? We are on Highway 45 between New London and Clintonville and less than 20 minutes from Great Lakes Equine, LLC and the Manawa Rodeo grounds. 10x10, 10x12, and 10x20 stall options to meet your needs. Limited stalled spots for winter (Nov-April) available. PM us for more details!
