Hazel is probably one of the most ridiculously happy dogs I know! She’s like the ultimate social butterfly, except instead of wings, she’s got a tongue that’s always ready to slime you. And don’t even get me started on the bear hugs - you better be ready for a squeeze! We love having her in the salon, even if she does turn bath time into a game of "pick me up" 🫠😂🤷‍♀️

Snow means salt… please keep in mind your pets paw pads! Salt can cause uncomfortable irritation and dryness. Paw balm and some shoes if you have to are great ideas in protecting them while outside.🥰

I wish I could say that they were just here for me to groom her, but realistically the holidays brought them in.🤭 regardless it made my heart so happy to get to see her and her sweet parents again before they went back home today🥰

🐱Brief Recap of 2024🐶

We opened our salon on Oct 7th of this year and our last grooms for the year were on Dec 20th! We’ve groomed 302 pets in two months! May be a low number for some but to me I’m thankful for the fast growth and loyal clients who’ve stuck it out with me thru my two pregnancies, moving from salons, and the fire deviation at the vet clinic. I have so many people to be thankful for who’ve gotten me to where I am and those who are encouraging me to be where I hope to be one day!

When I lost all my grooming supplies when the clinic caught fire I was clueless on what was going to happen and what I would do as an income to help in our household. NOT to mention it was heading into the holidays and that’s just a sucky time to loose work. From a sweet mobile groomer in another state, to the companies and sharpeners even those out in Canada who’ve sent me supplies, and to the clients of mine who helped me get products, I was able to start in my home while I was pregnant with my youngest son up till my maternity leave started!

GOD IS SO GOOD!!

I’ve always dreamed of having my own space, my own salon because I wanted to be able to control how pets were being treated, the quality of the work provided, building a safe space for pets and clients and also a pet salon that wasn’t the typical salon most go into. I wanted the chance to offer something and to be DIFFERENT than others. My husband knew my dream and made it a reality! This man worked late hours, early mornings, freezing weather, extreme heat, you name it! Just to give me my dream and he did it so beautifully! Apart from him, my family and his parents were also a massive help during the process!

GOD IS SO GOOD!!

This is a nutshell of my year to say the least but all honesty, I don’t remember all the bad because the good outweighs it! One of my favorite verses is Proverbs 31:25 “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future” I don’t fear it because I know who holds the future and that’s not just for my career also for my family.

Paddington was diagnosed with Addison disease which is an endocrine disorder (hereditary condition). I was also informed that another doodle client of mine as developed it too. If you know about this disease you know it very serious and life threatening. Both are doing great and working on bouncing back! But please keep them in your thoughts!!
