Resource guarding can be extremely dangerous ⚠️👎🏻

“Wes” here has been through a training program before but, the trainer was not experienced enough to work with this behavior and in turn made these issues worse.
When picking a dog trainer, Ensure you’re getting someone who has the relevant experience. If they’ve worked with very few aggressive dogs; they shouldn’t be taking those cases.

This fella joined us on Monday and is already getting a strong handle on his basic commands and loving his socialization field trips! 😄💪🏼
Remember; once a dog truly understands a command, we shouldn’t need to touch or lure them into position.
Every time we help, the less they will do for themselves 👎🏻
We train all of our dogs to respond to the verbal cue - ensuring they 100% know the command and they aren’t relying on body language or luring 😉
When we teach hand signals, we say nothing - again, ensuring they understand the visual cue alone, so it can be used much more effectively in the real world!!
