Dutch is the best boy! He is house trained...... this sweetheart belonged to someone. He had a home. And he was loved. (Yes I'm making room to move some around). Please think about fostering. I can't promise how long it will be. But you can help more than you know.

Just look at that face!!!

Cadbury came into rescue as a deaf, 1-2 year old stray Boxer, so we didn't know much about him. Sadly, within a couple of days of being in foster, we noticed he was dripping urine. We thought it was a UTI and we treated him with meds. After some time, we ended up doing an ultrasound and found out that he has both malformed kidneys and Vena Cava. The next step was to see a surgeon, in hopes that they would be able to repair the vena cava. Wel, he met with the surgeon and they requested a CT Scan, which we did. It is going to take a couple of days for the results and for them to determine if he is a candidate for surgery. So far, the rescue has paid out over $3,500 in medical costs, and if he is able to have the procedure to correct the vena cava, we estimate an additional $2,000 to $3000 will be needed.

By having this surgery, it will truly help with his quality of life. Cadbury will continue to be deaf and have malformed kidneys, but he will not have to wear belly bands, or constantly get UTIs from the urine getting backed up.

I was asked today if we knew of anyone that was willing to foster this little guy for maybe a month or so. While his owner has some medical procedures. She doesn't want to give him up, but she's afraid that she may be in the hospital for a bit, with no one to care for him. He's about 3 years old, neutered, up-to-date on shots, and only 25 pounds.
