Meet Lima Bean!!

Lima Bean is a sweet and gentle 9-10wk old puppy. She is friendly, curious and outgoing. Her brother Navy Bean was adopted yesterday and now we think its her turn. Her mom Frankie is hound mix 40lbs. We suspect Lima will be around 50lbs ...we do not know who dad is.

Lima will need basic puppy obedience, house breaking and leash work.

Thumbkin was adopted!

Thumbkin is a 2 year old neutered male who was surrendered to the shelter when his prior owners moved. Friendly, curious, and easy-going, Thumbkin is a real special cat here at the shelter and not just for his unique extra toes. He does excellent with other cats and has in fact helped some of our shy girls come out of their shell! Whether it's playing or cuddling, Thumbkin is happy to be involved.

Marlow was adopted!

Marlow was adopted!

Marlow is a sensitive soul. He's a three year old neutered male who was surrendered to us after his owner was no longer able to care for him. He's still adjusting to the shelter environment, and is quick to let you know how displeased he is. With time he's opening up, and will accept a bit of touch on his head but it takes a slow gentle hand. Marlow would do great in a calm quiet home willing to give him the time to open up on his own terms.

A year ago I adopted a brother & sister. When I saw them, I couldn't split them up . They are a hoot .. One of the best decisions I have ever made. Thank you for letting me be their mama .

Luke was adopted!

Luke is a sweet 3-year-old neutered male who was found as a local stray. He's a bit of a nervous nelly and takes a while to come out of his shell. With a patient human he becomes very affectionate and will lovingly accept pets and stretch himself out to relax. Luke gets along well with other cats and a home with a cat buddy he can learn from would definitely help him out. A patient home with someone willing to step in as his emotional support human is just what Luke needs to show his true potential. Sweet Luke is of course neutered, microchipped and up to date with his vaccines.

Head on down to Biglots in New Milford! They are holding an adoption event for us & today you can meet Waylon! He is a 6 month old hound mix. His brother Malone had his turn yesterday and loved everyone he met, Waylon is just as sweet!

Maxine was adopted!

Maxine was adopted!

While she was very reserved when she first came to the shelter, Maxine has blossomed beautifully during her time here. She still enjoys a good high perch where she can observe and it takes her a little while to get comfortable with new people, but once she knows you, Maxine enjoys attention and will wander over to get it! She gets along well with other cats and tends to be out and about during meal times. She's not the keenest on be brushed or carried though! Altogether, she's a sweet and social girl with both cats and people who prefers very minimal change and needs to have her space respected, but who, in the right environment, would be an excellent and loving addition to a quiet home. Maxine is eight years old, spayed, and up to date with her vaccines.
