Our friend Jakilah .flowers, and fellow member of our budding ag co-op, will be filling in for us at Sunday this week so we can both spend some time with our moms💗. We have a variety of hot weather greens these days, including tropical / Indian lettuce (lactuca indica).
Full sun - partial shade, self-seeding annual
12-24” spacing
Terrific heat-tolerant salad green. Can also be wilted or fully cooked. Plants can grow to 5’ tall, but can also be topped to create shorter, bushier plants with numerous branching stems. Highly versatile plant with much untapped potential in our hot and humid region! (📸 above)

It is with very heavy hearts that we’ve decided to close our nursery at 2817 N Roman this season. Despite our best efforts, the theft continues and we have to step back from that space to give ourselves a break. We love that garden and when y’all come by to visit us, but we can’t keep plants there at this time. Deep DEEP appreciation to all of you for your continued support💗

🌿THIS IS NOT THE END OF OUR SEASON THO🌱

You will still be able to find us weekly at the Thursday and Sunday and partnering with various farms and orgs for plant sales around town, including the sale this coming Sunday, 4/14, @ Press St Gardens from 1-4pm.

🌿BIG PLANT NEWS🌳

We’re joining some amazing efforts around town tomorrow for a tree giveaway! These trees have been lovingly grown and tended by our buds and we want them to find some good homes💚. During our open nursery hours tomorrow, 9am-2pm, stop by to pick up bare root American persimmon, bald cypress, hickan (water hickory-pecan hybrid), dunstan chestnut, or hackberry trees. Because they’re bare root, they’ll need to be planted in the ground or a pot immediately.

ALSO 🐝 🦖 will have frog fruit, gulf coast penstemon, salvia lyrata (lyre leaf sage), slender mountain mint, assorted LA iris cultivars, and salt marsh elder / groundsel bush available at Too Tall.

We can’t wait!
