24 Carrot Garden is located at Material Institute––an arts center, learning environment, and community space in the 9th Ward of New Orleans providing resources to a new generation of New Orleans artists.

Starting Monday April 5th, the 24 Carrot Garden will be welcoming youth of all ages for our Afterschool Programming!

Every Monday and Tuesday from 2–5pm youth will join us in the garden to learn how to care for plants, Louisiana ecology, and cooking with fresh fruits and vegetables. Homework help and snacks are also provided. Masks required.

Located in the St. Roch neighborhood, we are building community through meeting with youth three days a week for garden upkeep, cooking, mentoring, and financial literacy. Our directors live in the neighborhood and are committed to the long-term growth of the youth beyond their time in the garden.
