I’d like to get a list of people who may be interested in all natural chicken jerky dog and cat treats!!

They will be from free ranged chickens, butchered by an FDA/Organic processing place, and dehydrated and vacuum sealed right in my kitchen! I have yet to figure out pricing, but it will be fair and affordable! 😊

The chicken jerky treats you buy at the store are $10+ a bag and full of unhealthy stuff for your pets. Milo loves anything chicken, so I love to be able to provide her with healthy treats.

Let me know your ideas and what you think! 🥰

While chasing ducklings is fun, the day this video was taken they sent me on an hour duck chase, because they decided to property hop after they were done with puddle time. 🤣

Now, while I won’t post the graphic picture, something got into the duck barn and ended up killing my disabled duck Wabbles. Was a very sad find, but I was also starting to worry about his ability to thrive. Maybe things happen for a reason, either way.. it definitely impacted us all around here. The big ducks were quite for a day and didn’t want to play, but the following day, they enjoyed a mudd puddle to splash mom with. ❤️🥹

I feel like I’ve been off my homesteading page for to long!! This last week has been crazy busy!!

All of my 10-12 week old chicks are finally merging to live in the big bird run, rather then in their brooder kennel. That has been a fight in itself, because believe it or not chickens are STUBBORN. 😅 All big changes for them!
My almost month old ducklings have been in the outdoor kennel for a few weeks now, soon they will join the bigger ducks in the barn. 🥹

The recently hatched chicks are now over a week old, and thriving! They grow quick and learn how to use their wings sooner then you would think. Chick chasing season has almost begun for me again. 😅

The button quail are growing quick, and while they’re fully feathered and off the heat lamp, they are still in an inclosure in my bathroom- waiting for them to get an inch or two bigger before they go outside to their inclosure so they are to big to fit through the chicken wire.

All good updates on this post! Enjoy some pictures. ❤️

We got our first hatch, looks like Michael is a dad! 😅🥹

When incubating eggs, this is something you don’t like to see. This is what we call a blood line, it’s where it started to develop and then just stopped, due to whatever may have caused it.

Watch closely for the little orb moving around! That is a chick developing, starting from the heart on!

One of my eggs I’ve been incubating. This is an Ayem Cemani egg. If you haven’t looked up this chicks before do, they’re so cool and I can’t wait till they hatch.

Yesterday day was an eventful day around here!
I got the frame work done for the quail coop and let the babies run around and play. As you can tell, some of them are molting really bad.. so hoping with some extra water enrichment we can get the molting stage over with! They will be moving to their barn sooner then I know, man do they grow quick!! 🥰🥹

✨ Button Quail ✨
If you don’t know, they’re the smallest of the quail varieties. They are usually kept for pets, as they are to small for meat and their eggs are tiny in nature. They’re great to have around to clean up after your other birds, and are so fun to watch zig zag around.
When they hatch, they’re the size of a bumble bee!!
Right now, at 6 days old they’re only about an 1” long! (See first picture of one standing next to a small rock!) I’m excited to see these guys blossom and add more varieties to go along with them. 🥰

My ultimate goal with my homestead, is to not only offer canned goods, eggs and more. But, is to also be a non-profit rescue for ducks! Rehabilitating, rehoming, rescuing and more. 😊🦆

Welcome to my homesteading page!

I thought since I started this adventure, I might as well make a page where I can share all of the things happening around this wild place. 🥰

This will be your page to follow for egg updates, egg availability, bird updates and availability and more!
As more birds mature, I will have a wide variety of eating eggs, possibly hatching down the road!
Eggs will be a variety of chicken, duck, and quail!

Stay tuned to watch my homestead grow! 🥰🐣
