Rawhiders 4-H Club

Rawhiders 4-H club will be closing 12/31 to all new members. If you have not gotten registered, you will need to be registered and pay your dues by 12/31. If you are registered, you will need to get your dues paid by then, and horse kids will need to be registered and paid in order to attend Cayuse Camp in January. You can go into the extension office and pay with cash, check or card (with a small fee). Or pay over the phone with your card (small fee as well). Our next meeting will be Jan 6th at the church. I believe Rane’s and Thomas have the main course for dinner. New officers you will need to be in attendance.

Rawhiders were busy a couple of weeks ago. We made fleece lap blankets, made cookies and sang Christmas carols to the residents. Such a great time to be able to give back to our community. Rawhiders per our club requirements have to give back a certain amount of hours based on their age group, we also as a club give back throughout the year by doing things for our community. If you have a community service project that needs done let us know we would be happy to help out.

The Payette County Teen Leaders Christmas Party is scheduled for 6:00 pm on December 20th, 2024 at the fairgrounds in New Plymouth. We will eat dinner, probably potato soup, have a gingerbread out decorating contest and do a gift exhange. Please bring a wrapped gift that costs no more than $15 to exchange. Youth must be enrolled in ZSuite and have dues paid to participate in this event!

1. Bring your fleece, scissors, ruler if you would like.
2. We need someone to do the main course for dinner.
3. Some items needed for the float
a. Lights
b. Straw bales
c. Small cardboard boxes, wrapped like presents
d. Christmas tree

Rawhiders came together today and was able to provide a family in need of a Thanksgiving meal. What a glorious thing that we can do is to give back to our community. We filled this deserving family’s car full of food.

UPDATE: Rawhiders 4H Club will have its first meeting of the year. Monday November 4, 2024 at the New Plymouth Congregational Church at 7pm. Please plan on attending if you would like to be in the club. This year the clubs membership will close December 31st. Registration is open for those who would like to join 4H.

Overall standings after the first show. Tonight is the second show in the series. Registration starts at 5:30 and the show will start at approximately 6pm. We will have concessions for you and your family. Come and enjoy some great classes with a great judge. Tonight we have Janet Miller judging our classes. Kids can learn what they need to work on for fair and adults can improve their skills as well. Remember this is for a buckle at the end of the series. (You must participate in all 3 shows to be eligible for the buckle). We will see you all in a couple of hours.

Come support Rawhiders 4-H Club with the annual ND Tucker Buckle Series. Registration and Flier are attached. There will be concessions so bring your appetite, your passion for horses, and competition spirit.

The Canyon County 4-H Horse Leaders' Clinics are coming up soon!

Tuesdays (April 9, 16, 23, & 30)— participants must be checked in prior to 6:30pm.
Check-in and warmups from 5:30pm-6:30pm.
Location: Birt Arena, 2520 E Lewis Ln., Nampa Cost: $10/participants

The clinics are only open to 4-H youth enrolled in the horse project.

This year our club provided a Christmas dinner for a very deserving family. Sometimes it’s not about what we get that makes our hearts full but what we can give to others.

We had so much fun today singing Christmas songs, passing out cookies and fleece blankets to the residents of Edgewood Senior Living.
