THE SHELTER IS SAFE 🙌🏼 🌀

We wanted to let everyone know that the shelter is secure and without damage or loss of power! We are feeling very fortunate!

And while we are closed for the day, Volunteers and staff are here cleaning to the backyard and derbies! We have over 100 animals coming back to the shelter in the coming days and are getting everything cleaned inside and out to make sure they come back to a clean and comfortable shelter!

Thank you to everyone who reached out and asked about us! We know there is a lot of work to do in the days ahead, but we are here to help our community and the animals as best we can! We are still in need of some supplies moving forward. If you can donate, please drop items off at our shelter, any day between the hours of 11am-4pm! Please see list of items below

If you were affected please message me if you need help of any kind. I have been making meals and delivering them daily. Im also volunteering to help clean out homes. I’m fairly strong so I can help lift heavy things. If you know of someone that might need this please reach out to me. Don’t hesitate. Hi❤️ I am so happy to say I’m back to taking clients.

This last year has been the hardest year I think I’ll have to go through. I didn’t share my personal life with everyone but I was blessed enough to care for my mom this last year and she passed away a couple weeks ago from brain tumors. Of course this loss is going to take a toll on me but I can’t wait to get back to having a purpose and loving on all of your sweet babies.

We have a critical puppy and we need your help! 🙏

On Monday we received a call from one of our veterinarians about an emaciated puppy that came into their office and needed emergency care.

According to the vets office, this 9 week old German shepherd puppy was given to the owner and apparently the puppy had not eaten in 2 weeks, and was vomiting. This person thankfully came to Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers - Brandon, FL where they reached out to our rescue for our help, as this puppy needed immediate hospitalization that was estimated to be between $2500-$4000 for 1-2 days of care at the ER.

After we agreed to help (look at that face, how could we say no) This puppy, who we named Merlin, was then transferred to LiveWell Animal Hospital where Dr. Banks and his team could take over his care. Merlin is still not eating, he is vomiting, and his abdomen is painful upon exam. Parvo tests are negative, and they have ruled out an intussusception. Merlin’s blood glucose levels were very low and he is slightly septic. Our vets suspect this could be from a horrible parasite infection that was left untreated, or potentially Parvo as negative tests don’t always mean it’s not so.

While Merlin’s glucose levels have started to regulate, We do suspect that he will need to be hospitalized for some time; as he is still not eating, and requires round to clock care. He will need to be monitored closely by Dr.Banks and team.

This is where we need your help! We are looking at an estimated $2000-$3000 for Merlin’s hospitalization bill. His prognosis is very guarded but, we will give him everything we’ve got!
