Dracula wanted to let everyone know…. We are finally open again this Saturday!!!! Come meet him and all his adorable friends on Saturday 7/12, 12p-4p!!! They’ve waited patiently for 2 1/2 weeks to see some faces other than ours 😁. Hope to see you Saturday! ❤️🐾

We got our boy Rebel's test back for what infection he may have had. It was your basic kennel cough, which stands to reason that our sweetheart Rebel may have had something underlying that we weren't aware of, he may have aspirated, we will never know. What we do know is he was loved here and he is missed so much.
The good news coming out of this is for all the other dogs at the shelter. They are being treated appropriately. No one is showing any signs. Fingers crossed we will be open for adoptions next week (7/9/25), normal business hours. Please keep an eye out right here for updates!
You won't find a team that works harder or cares more than the team at SPCA Suncoast of West Pasco! We are so blessed to have every single one of them at our shelter.

Well, here is much needed GREAT news!!! Our boy Neville, most of you will know him. He was one of the 30 dogs found tied up to cinder blocks over a year ago. He was just a shell of a pup. Took him so long to trust, but we didn’t blame him. He was adopted not even a month ago and look at this boy…….
Proud doesn’t say it! Thank you to his adopter for listening to all we shared about Neville and how to work with him. You have saved this boys life! You have given him the start of confidence. You have shown him what life could and should be. Our team is beyond grateful to you. You go Neville!!!

We are heartbroken to have to let everyone know our sweet boy Revel didnt make it. He just couldn’t win the battle against pneumonia. He was hospitalized and cared for for 3 fulls days and never improved. This pup was so special. He was silly. He was a love. Where he didn’t want to end up in a shelter, we are blessed to have loved him as much as we did. Rest sweet boy. We love you and you are so missed. 💔🐾🌈.
The outpouring of support has been amazing. We really can’t say it enough how the community really comes through for our pets. We simply can’t do this without you.

Theresa Verity, what you did for the team was so incredibly sweet. You are always thinking of the people working so hard for these pets every single day. Pizza!! Dessert!! CAPRI SUN!!! We loved. On top of all the amazing needs of the shelter. You are so amazing. And the best foster fail ❤️🐾

Kristen Dillaha, the support from your family (and neighbors) was so fantastic!! Those supplies were so needed and even more appreciated. You came early on a Sunday morning just to help support us We cant say how grateful we are for you!!

It honestly it so heartwarming how much people feel for our pets and they haven’t even met most of them. It just shows the power of a pet. The heartfelt wishes for Rebel, a dog they never met. That’s the power of love. Thank you to everyone who shares their love with our crew. We understand not everyone can afford a donation. Support is also about sharing love, prayers, positive thoughts, and kind words. Thank you! ❤️🐾

Unfortunately our boy Rebel is not improving like we hoped. We are still fighting with the help of Best Care Animal Hospital and their wonderful team.
We have more pups starting to cough at the shelter.
If you are able to help we would so appreciate it. We need cleaning supplies!!
Bleach
Bleach wipes
Laundry detergent
Paper towels
Towels
Blankets
And of course a monetary donation always helps. Rebel’s treatment is costly. We have all the dogs on antibiotics and some on breathing treatments.

This is ending up being a rough week. Unfortunately, we find ourselves in a situation where we need to close the shelter until further notice. One of our amazing pups has come down with pneumonia. The signs showed up over night. Rebel is being hospitalized with the wonderful team at Best Care Animal Hospital. He is getting world class care. Rebel needs prayers and positive vibes from everyone.
We will not be conducting any meet and greets until we know all our pups are in the clear. So far no one is showing any signs and our team is working very hard to keep it that way. We continue to need your help. We are in need of bleach, laundry detergent, Simple Green all-purpose cleaner, towels, blankets and as always monetary donations are so appreciated.
We will do our best to return all phone calls. If you have physical donations to bring, please ring the bell on our gate. If we can't get to you, you are welcome to leave items at the gate, and we will get it. If you need a donation receipt please call and leave a message with your name, phone number and items donated, we will be happy to get you a receipt.
We thank everyone for their support and understanding. We will keep everyone updated via Facebook. We have so many wonderful pets here waiting for their forever home!

Check out Dracula (AKA Count Chocula)!! This adorable little man is ready for his forever home. We saved him from crossing the rainbow bridge. Dracula is an adorable senior boy full of life and love to give. He was feisty when he first got here but that ended the first time he heard the words “you are so handsome and such a good boy”. He loves hearing that, we assume he never has in his 8-10 years of life. He is a bit naked, but his hair has already started growing back. He was covered in fleas. Now that he’s been treated and flea free he is healing. He’s healing inside and out ❤️.
Dracula loves to sit in your lap and get kisses. He gives kisses but not just w***y nilly, you need to be worthy of his kisses. The team here is 🥰. If you want to continue to help this boy heal and become “worthy”, come in and ask to meet Dracula. Give this boy all the love he deserves. It’s never too late ❤️🐾

Meet Lady. This sweet girl was surrendered by her original owner, she was adopted and then returned because her adopters pup wasn’t feeling the connection. This little girl is already very popular. Please note our adoption process. No dogs go home the same day. There is always an application process. We do not conduct meet and greets with applicants other pups the same day.
We are open Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday 12p-4p. She will have a lot of visitors. Lady is a PERFECT angel!!

Are you looking for someone to give you all the love you can handle? Do you have lots of love to give? Meet Kisses. She has this name for a reason. She’s 8 years young. Loves walks. Loves snuggling. And LOVES sharing Kisses!! She was a huge hit at an event last night!!! Stop in today and ask to meet this sweetheart. She acts crazy in her kennel, but that’s only because the kennel gets loud when people come to visit. Ask to meet her outside. She will show you her real personality and you won’t be able to resist her!! ❤️🐾
