Whew what a week it’s been at the ranch! Pepper the wild bebe was deflead/dewormed and received some antibiotics because she was sneezing. She’s no longer as spicy, she loves pets and purrs when you cuddle her, but doesn’t want to come to you at night when it’s time for bed. Otherwise, she’s had a blast playing with the other kittens!
We had a bout of Giardia hit us this week, Frankie nearly died from it in a span of about 24 hours. His upper respiratory infection caused a weakened immune system which let those little parasites right in to set up shop in his tummy! We changed everyone to Iams Kitten/Iams Adult to keep the food consistent, along with some wet pâtés from WholeHearted and 9Lives. Everyone had to have 5 doses of dewormer to ensure if they got it, they would have strong immunity and so far, no one has had any issues!
Due to the Giardia everything in the Ranch had to be sanitized, furniture moved and sanitized, I even threw some things away because I wasn’t sure how to clean them properly.
Along with 2 jobs, 2 kids, just getting married this past week, TNRing 20 neighborhood cats and a cracked windshield, I have been running on empty while trying to start my holiday projects for my side business.
I am desperately looking for homes for the Boo Crew kittens, Gremlin, Goblin and Leo. They are getting too big for the baby cage, and they love to play and run around. They are already fixed, deflead, dewormed, rabies shot and a 4 in 1 shot. The rescue is asking 75$ for each of them. Ask your family and friends if they need a new black cat for spooky season!
