Here are a few friendly reminders to ensure your pets stay safe and comfortable:

🐾 Provide warm bedding away from drafts.
🐾 Keep them hydrated even if they're indoors; winter air can be dry!
🐾 Monitor their health closely, particularly for signs of cold-related issues.
🐾 Limit time outside, and always keep an eye on their paws for ice or salt.

Well it’s been quite a new year, several new friends have come to join us; a dying kitten in need of ER care, a stray cat ( the dad to our litter of six from early December) a kitten with a compound fracture now awaiting surgery on Monday 1/6/25, 2 gorgeous Persian sisters from a breeder situation and today a BIG fluffy orange and white stray boy who has been trying to stay out of the cold by hanging out at someone’s house.

WE HAVE BEEN PUT TO THE TEST AS WE CONTINUE WITH OUR INTAKE HOLD. We must continue to restructure our current program and make it work even more effectively with lesser resources and dollars. It has become a very challenging time for not only Gregory’s Gift of Hope but all rescue organizations. THE ANIMAL CRISIS IS REAL - WE MUST DO BETTER AS HUMAN BEINGS, WE MUST “DO SOMETHING”

Well, it's a brand new year and we're kicking it off with a noble mission - SAVING LIVES!!! We had one of our rescue partners reach out to us for help with this adorable little kitten who was found on the side of the road with a compound fracture to his rear leg. Although we're technically still on INTAKE HOLD, we just can't say no to an injured kitten - we'll find a way to make it work because that's what we do, and that's what we believe in - giving every life a chance. Thank you, CANDI, for reaching out to us for help, and thank you, Dr. HANSEN, for your prompt assistance in getting him assessed this afternoon. Since surgery will be necessary, let's start our year off on a high note by HELPING US HELP THOSE IN NEED. ❤️

Deuce today…

Although he is eating and drinking he has a long road ahead. Weighing only 10 1/2 ounces and severely dehydrated I am actually shocked he has made it this far. He is a little fighter so we are right there with him.

Note: we discovered, last night, when cleaning Deuce he has purple painted/marketed paw pads - we are hoping it’s not what we think but in this crazy crazy society it most likely is😡🙁

****If ❤️🙏🏻a kitten has purple paw pads, it could be a sign that it was used as "bait" in a dog fighting ring, where someone deliberately marked the kitten with a purple dye to identify it for this cruel purpose; this is often referred to as a "bait kitten" and should be considered a serious animal cruelty issue requiring immediate intervention from authorities.

Near Years Eve Recap…

Well we only had three takers for the party pictures and it was only after Scoots had lost his sweater from getting to warm while dancing up a storm and Dora when she thought what she was putting on her head was the lamp shade. Luke just wanted a quick pic of his nice attire for the party. By the way Scoots wanted a quick mention of the tie being part of the “WS Fashions” Party Line. Needless to say I think the party was a success and all are already tucked in for the new year.
