Fleas are still out and looking for a warm place to land — and our furry friends make the perfect target this time of year.

For my clients who prefer a more natural, homeopathic approach, I’ve shared a simple DIY Natural Flea Repellent Spray you can make right at home 🧴✨

While traditional preventatives like collars, topicals, and chewables are still the most effective long-term option, this spray is a great chemical-free alternative to help repel fleas between grooms and keep your pup more comfortable.

The gnats are out in full force this season!
If you notice small red bumps or irritated spots on your dog—especially on their belly, ears, or inner thighs—don’t worry, it’s likely just those pesky gnats.

They’re super common right now and usually nothing to be concerned about. You can try dabbing a little witch hazel or using a pet-safe anti-itch spray to help ease the irritation.

‘Tis the season for shedding!
Remember—you can add an extra 15 minutes of de-shedding for just $10 🐾✨

Bath dogs like Labs, Huskies, and other double-coated breeds already get 15 minutes included, but if your pup is a heavy shedder, you might want to tack on the extra time!

🚨 Kennel Cough Update 🚨

Hey everyone, I just wanted to give a quick heads-up—there’s been an uptick in kennel cough cases in the area. If you notice your pup coughing or showing any symptoms, please let me know right away!

Keeping all the dogs I groom healthy is my top priority, so if your dog isn’t feeling 100%, it’s best to reschedule until they’re better. Thanks for your help in keeping everyone’s pups safe! 🐾

‼️ Blastomycosis Confirmed in the Local Area – Pet Owners, Please Be Aware! ‼️
I want to share an important health warning for pet owners. A confirmed case of Blastomycosis has been reported locally, and this dangerous fungal infection is something to keep on your radar.

Blastomycosis is found in moist soil and decaying wood and can affect both humans and pets. Dogs are especially at risk since they often sniff and dig in contaminated areas.

Last year, one of my clients dogs was diagnosed with Blastomycosis. It was a very scary road to recovery, and it’s truly a miracle that he made it through. The owners are unsure where he was exposed, which is why it’s so important to stay vigilant and keep a close eye on your pets.

Symptoms to watch for in pets:
🐾 Persistent cough or breathing issues
🐾 Fever that won’t go away
🐾 Loss of appetite or energy
🐾 Skin sores that don’t heal
🐾 Eye inflammation or vision problems

This infection can be serious if not caught early. If your dog is showing any of these signs, please get them checked by a vet ASAP.
