"Training Stella" Dog Training offers Board & Train, Private Lessons, Group Classes, as well as help and consultation for new dog and puppy owners. Every moment you s

pend with your dog counts! Board & Train Program;

The Board & Train program is designed for owners who are unsure of how to consistently modify any undesirable behavior or unsure of how to get a solid foundation of obedience. The board and train is the most successful and guaranteed of all services offered. Dogs and puppies of all ages are invited to come to stay to work with me, although, this will be highly suggested for dogs with a severe aggressive composure towards other people and animals and/or for dogs that their owner wish to know how to be off leash, as well as severe separation anxiety. It is a minimum of 3-5 weeks period and may be longer if there is a difficult behavior that needs to be adjusted. The owner must know that the training done is not permanent and must be incorporated back into the owner's home following the trainer's specific instructions in order to maintain what was learned. I suggest at least three weeks in order to modify habits. The daily rate is $60 per day. Depending on age and difficulty level, either a 3 or 4 week stay is suggested, although, shorter stays may be purchased with the understanding that the results of the training would be less accountable. There are discounts for when two dogs come at the same time from the same household as well as "cash payments" discounted rates. Please ask for more information. The obedience included are jobs such as sit, down, come, stay, place, heel and sometimes extra tricks and/or agility is done if the dog needs extra stimulation. I address undesirable behaviors such as pulling on the leash, jumping, unnecessary barking, biting, bothering other dogs/cats, mild to severe aggression over food, mild to severe aggression towards other people/animals, inability to politely pass other people and dogs, not coming when called, not listening or respecting and any other behavior that may present itself during a dog's stay. I work to modify every owner's specific wants and needs. Dogs that stay for a minimum of 21 days get multiple benefits included such as coming along with me for field trips to my private in-home lessons, the group obedience and behavior training classes that I teach, multiple pet stores and busy parks.

*Booked upon trainer's availability. Group Classes;

All Group Classes are 6 week courses. Included is learning to modify behaviors such as pulling on the leash, excessive barking, jumping, running away, aggression towards other dogs and/or people etc. as well as basic obedience including sit, down, come, stay, heel, "place". I like to introduce some tricks and/or agility if time permits. Locations-

About the Trainer

Brittny, a 33 year old animal enthusiast, has quality dog training experience that comes from the knowledge and experience of the trainers at the well-known Red Star Kennel. She was born in Minnesota and grew up in Hudson, WI. Born and raised in a family where dogs were part of a daily routine, Brittny has found herself happily dedicated to dogs, making a point of taking what was once solely a passion, into a way of life. Drawn to a full time life surrounded by dogs, horses and exotic pets ever since a very young age, Brittny knew to follow the path of animal care. In the beginning stages, Brittny cared for neighbor's, friend's and family's animals, commonly providing dog boarding and/or walking all while happily caring for her own dogs, bearded dragon, crested gecko and miniature horse at home. After graduating 6 months early from Hudson High School in 2008, she began working as a stable hand for well over a year at Plainview Stables in River Falls, WI. Searching for a more permanent type of career path, Brittny began attending Globe University in Woodbury, MN. to study the field of a Veterinarian Technician. Little did Brittny know, the year 2010, would actually end up being the mark of the beginnning of the rest of her dog training life. It was September 21st, 2010, at just age twenty, when Brittny brought home her greatest joy yet, a beautiful all black female purebred German Shepherd Dog. Brittny, of course, named her Stella. It was an innocent pup who would be the one to change Brittny's life forever. In a determined pursuit to make Stella the best dog that she could be, she consistently trained and worked with her on a variety of obedience and behavior training testing the waters. They especially enjoyed discovering how to go canoeing or paddleoarding alone as a team on the St Croix River. Their bond only continued to intensify from there, as they continued tons of different adventures such as hiking and camping trips. Consumed with satisfaction from the hands on training experiences and the desire to always have her Stella by her side, Brittny trained Stella to be a Certified Service Dog. This is the moment Brittny then found herself specifically pursuing a career in canine training. In August of 2011, Brittny began working at Red Star Kennel, one of the nation's leading dog training and boarding facilities. After she had been working with the owner/trainers for six years, training countless dogs as a part of their own board and train program. They were kind and supportive of her pushing out into the world to create her own business, "Training Stella" Dog Training.

 Today, Brittny is the sole employee of her business, and trains with dogs of any breed, age and temperment through "Training Stella" Dog Training's board and train program, private lesson, group classes and home visits providing knowledge on basic obedience and behavior modification. She especially enjoys excelling at rehabilitating extremely difficult 'red-zone', or aggressive type dog cases. Success and positive change shines brightly through each dog that has crossed paths with Brittny and her "official co-trainer", Stella. At the age of twenty-nine years old, she had so graciously found her dream forever home or "home-facility" on four acres in New Richmond, WI. where she continues to help owners and their dogs learn how easy it is to live out their very own dream come true.

Hello!

I feel the need to share this video with all my nature loving and/or dog owner friends! While walking with a friend on a path in the woods yesterday, I found a tick on my wrist THEN I happened to touch the back of my neck and felt something that could've been mistaken for a raised freckle, however I knew I didn't have one there, fortunately my friend came to help right before the tick made it into the safety of my hair and continue its horrific shenanigans. This all promptly caused a severe bout of paranoia and needless to say, ended what was supposed to be an enjoyable walk on a perfect weather day.... yes.... I can't do the bug thing, especially ticks and spiders. Andddd THEN... after immediately showering at home, I decided to w**d whip the long grass inside and outside of the chain link fenced in dog areas.. and what do you know...? a deer tick was crawling on my arm. Straight back to the shower with me. 🙄😅

Anywho, always thoroughly check yourselves AND your dogs! In between their toes, ears... everywhere! Also, incredibly enough, check in their mouth along their gums... especially those of you who have dogs that eat grass like they think they're cows... they will indeed latch on to their gums.

Please do check out this video, it's quite informative!

***New Board & Train Pup pics are coming soon! Stay tuned! :D

All the best,
Brittny (& Stella from Heaven) 💞🐾

Our Story

Training will be on a case to case basis. I will find what tools will work best for your dog along with using positive reinforcement techniques such as the clicker and treats to keep your pet's mind engaged. Any goals will be addressed for the love of you and your dog! Offering Board & Train, Private Lessons, Group Classes, as well as help and consultation for new dog and puppy owners. Every moment you spend with your dog counts! Board & Train Program; The Board & Train program is designed for owners who are unsure of how to consistently modify one or more of their dog’s undesirable behaviors, or are looking for their dog to obtain a solid foundation of obedience. This service is especially recommended for dogs with severe behavioral issues such as any fear/insecurities and/or aggressive composure towards other people and/or animals of any kind. Furthermore, the Board & Train program allows dog owners to trust that their dog is guaranteed to come when called off-leash, in any environment... and regardless of what may be in that environment! It is a minimum of 3-5 weeks period and may be longer if there is a difficult behavior that needs to be adjusted. The owner must know that the training done is not permanent, and must be incorporated back into the owner's home by following the trainer's specific instructions, in order to maintain what was learned. I suggest at least three weeks for dogs under 1 year of age, and four weeks for above 1 year of age, in order to successfully create/break habits. The price ranges from $45-$85 per day depending on age and difficulty level. Obedience includes sit, down, come, stay, place, heel, correct ‘play’ exercises and sometimes extra tricks and/or agility is done if the dog needs extra stimulation. I address undesirable behaviors such as pulling on the leash, jumping, unnecessary barking, biting, bothering other dogs/cats, aggression over food, aggression towards other people/animals, inability to politely pass other people and dogs, not coming when called, inability to groom, accidents in house, crate training, resisting of any kind, not listening or respecting etc. I work to modify every owner's specific ‘wants’ and ‘needs’. We take several field trips including the dogs being a guest to my private in-home lessons, obedience classes, multiple pet stores and parks. Booked upon trainer's availability. Group Classes;

Basic Dog Obedience/Puppy Manners is a class where students learn to modify behaviors such as pulling on the leash, unnecessary barking, jumping, running away, aggression towards other dogs and/or people etc. as well as basic obedience including sit, down, come, stay, heel, "place". I like to introduce some tricks and/or agility if time permits.

Difficult Dog Behavior Modification is for the owners who’s dogs are presenting the more challenging of behavioral issues. Owners learn to get a handle on undesirable behaviors such as lunging, biting/attempting to bite themselves, other people and/or other animals, zoning, charging, redirecting aggression, pulling on the leash, reacting negatively to corrections and over excitability. It sure is great for me to show people people just how easy it is to get control back, and to keep it there!

“Open Advanced” Group Classes *One meet time only! “Open Advanced” Group classes are specifically for the owners and dogs that I have worked with at least once before, through previous group classes, private lessons or board and train. We work to enhance what the owner and dog already knows through various exercises such as passing and approaching other handlers with their dogs and working obedience together such as performing group stays. This is a great reviewing opportunity! $15 Cash/Handler. Typically located at my facility in New Richmond, WI.
