Dr. Wilson graduated magna cm laude from Iona College in New Rochelle, NY, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then moved to Ithaca, NY to attend Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM). After veterinary school, she completed an intense, year long internship in small animal medicine and surgery at BluePearl Hospital Downtown in Manhattan. To further her education, she attended Chi University and became certified in veterinary acupuncture, traditional Chinese food therapy, and end-of-life care. Dr. Wilson practices high quality integrative medicine, using her extensive Western medical background and traditional Chinese veterinary medical training for a holistic approach to wellness. Dr. Wilson has worked in many different settings, including small animal private practices, emergency and specialty hospitals, shelters, and community veterinary wellness centers. A lifelong Westchester County resident, she currently resides in New Rochelle with her husband and three ginger cats.

October 13th is National Pet Obesity Awareness Day! According to a 2018 clinical survey by the Association for Pet Obesity Prevention, 59.5% of cats and 55.8% of dogs are classified as overweight or obese. That equals an estimated 56 million cats and 50 million dogs in the US alone. Chonky cats and pudgy pups are cute but the extra weight can cause problems! September is Animal Pain Awareness Month! This coincides with Pain Awareness Month in humans, to highlight how pain affects both humans and pets alike. As people, we often vocalize our and we expect our pets to do the same. But pets rarely vocalize when they have pain, especially chronic pain! This is due to a self-preservation instinct. However, there are plenty of signs that show our pets may be dealing with pain.
