🚨 Don't Let These Habits Steal Your Child’s Confidence! 🚨

Confidence isn’t just something kids are born with—it’s something they build. But certain habits can quietly chip away at their self-esteem. Watch out for these:

❌ People-Pleasing – Always putting others first can make it hard for kids to speak up and believe in their own worth.
❌ Negative Comparison – Measuring themselves against others can lead to self-doubt and feelings of inadequacy.
❌ Limiting Beliefs – Thinking “I’m just not good at this” creates a fixed mindset that holds them back.
❌ Focusing on Flaws – Being too critical of themselves can undermine confidence and prevent them from seeing their strengths.

💡 Good news? Confidence is a skill that can be learned! At becomingME, we help kids break free from these patterns and build unshakable self-belief.

Helping Kids Turn Mistakes into Learning Opportunities

Today, I want to talk about mistakes.
As a child, I felt constant pressure—What happens if I make a mistake?
I feared that people would think I wasn’t good enough. I told myself things like:
I don’t pay attention.
I rush too much.
I’m the worst!
The list could go on…
When I made mistakes, I felt embarrassed. My face would turn red, my head would drop, and I wouldn’t have the courage to look people in the eyes.
Looking back, I realize this came from a lack of self-esteem and self-confidence.
It wasn’t until adulthood that I truly understood—mistakes are opportunities to learn and grow.
From that moment on, the pain, guilt, shame, and embarrassment I carried from past mistakes started to fade. I learned how to let them go…
The Impact of Mistakes on Children
When children don’t know how to handle mistakes, it can be detrimental to their self-esteem and confidence. They may feel guilt, sadness, or anger.
Did you know that humans are the only animals who relive mistakes over and over again, often beating themselves up in the process?
Imagine a lion thinking:
"Oh no! I jumped too soon at that zebra! I should have waited a little longer. Why didn’t I run faster? Now we won’t have anything to eat. I can’t believe I messed up—I’m such a loser!"
Sounds ridiculous, right? A lion moves on and looks for the next opportunity.
Maybe we can learn something from the lion!
Helping Kids Reframe Mistakes
When children see mistakes as learning opportunities, they shift from negative emotions back into their power.
Although we can’t undo mistakes, we can choose how we respond.
Sometimes, mistakes happen because of a bad decision—like cheating on a test or taking something that isn’t theirs. But it’s important to emphasize that making a bad choice doesn’t mean they are a bad person.
5 Steps for Managing Mistakes
In my coaching sessions, I teach kids how to manage mistakes in a healthy way.
Look for teachable moments to help your child learn from their mistakes:
✔️ When they make a mistake.
✔️ When they make excuses for their actions.
✔️ When they blame others.
✔️ When they are too hard on themselves.
And remind them:
Everyone makes mistakes—mistakes are an opportunity to learn!
I’d love to hear from you! How do you handle mistakes with your child? Email me back—I’d love to chat.
Until then,
Love & Blessings,

🌟 “The child who concentrates is immensely happy.” – Dr. Maria Montessori 🌟

As parents, teachers, and coaches, we play a big role in creating environments that help kids concentrate and find true happiness. Here are 8 ways to help children develop happiness:

1️⃣.Model Kindness – Show grace and courtesy to boost mood and inspire kids to do the same.
2️⃣.Practice Mindfulness – Encourage being present and appreciating the moment. Try guided meditation or simple breathing exercises.
3️⃣.Foster Friendships – Strong social connections promote happiness and a sense of belonging.
4️⃣.Set Goals – Help kids set short-term and long-term goals. Motivation and progress lead to happiness!
5️⃣.Lead Appreciation – Practice gratitude together. Recognize what you’re thankful for, and teach them to express it.
6️⃣.Encourage Movement – Outdoor play and physical activity are linked to increased happiness.
7️⃣.Laugh Often – Smiles and laughter release mood-boosting endorphins! Tell jokes, read funny stories, and make room for laughter.
8️⃣.Pursue Interests – Help kids discover and dive into activities they love, keeping them engaged and present.

"The Friendship Mirror" - For Social Skills & Making Friends-

🤝 How to Play:

✅Stand in front of a mirror 🪞with your child 👧 and take turns making kind, friendly faces and grumpy, unfriendly faces—ask them which face they’d rather talk to!

✅Role-play different friendship scenarios, like:
🟠How to introduce yourself to a new friend.
🟠How to ask to join a game.
🟠How to handle a disagreement in a kind way.
🟠Use a positive affirmation- "I make friends easily"

✅Practice using kind words and active listening by taking turns telling short stories while the other listens carefully.

💖 Why It Works: Helps kids practice social skills in a fun and low-pressure way before using them in real life.

"THE BRAVERY BADGE" (For Fear of Failure & Low Confidence)

🏆 How to Play:

Tell your child that every time they try something new or difficult, they earn an invisible bravery badge (you can even make a fun paper badge together!).

After they complete the challenge (even if they don’t succeed), celebrate by saying, "YOU WERE SO BRAVE TO TRY ! WHAT DID YOU LEARN ?"
If they’re feeling discouraged, remind them of past bravery badges they’ve earned.

✨ Why It Works: This shifts their focus from fear of failure to celebrating effort and courage, helping them develop a growth mindset.

Big Emotions & Self-Regulation 😭 Signs:

💫Meltdowns or tantrums when things don’t go their way.
💫Struggling to calm down when upset.
💫Feeling overwhelmed by anger, frustration, or sadness.

💡 Why It Happens:
Young children’s brains are still developing emotional control, and they may not have the words to express how they feel.

✅ Solution: Teach emotional awareness with simple tools like deep breathing, naming emotions ("I feel angry"), and using a "calm-down corner" with books or sensory items.

Fear of Failure & Low Confidence 😟 Signs:

💥Saying "I can't do it!" before even trying.
💥Giving up quickly when things get hard.
💥Avoiding new challenges because they’re afraid of making mistakes.

💡 Why It Happens:
Kids may feel pressure to be perfect or fear disappointing others. They might not yet understand that mistakes help them learn and grow.

✅ Solution: Encourage a growth mindset by celebrating effort, not just results. Praise them for trying, even if they don’t succeed right away.

Feeling Overwhelmed? 🤯

I’ve been hearing this word a lot lately. Just the other day, a young student said something that really stuck with me:

"I know there are things I can do to help my anxiety, but even those choices feel overwhelming!"

Wow. That was so perfectly said! And I totally get it. When I first started working on my own anxiety, I felt the same way. There were so many methods—EFT, CBT, yoga, mindfulness—each with its own set of tools. I didn’t know where to start.

So, where do you start when helping kids manage anxiety? With their mindset.

Anxiety isn’t something “wrong” with them—it’s part of being human. The goal isn’t to get rid of it, but to learn how to work with it.

That’s why I’m so excited to share my upcoming course:

✨ How Your Child Can Develop a Leader’s Mindset in 10 Life Coaching Steps ✨

In this course, kids will learn how to navigate challenges, build confidence, and turn anxiety into a tool for growth. 💪

✨Our Words Create Our World! ✨

Words are powerful. They shape how we see ourselves, others, and what we believe is possible.

Today, pay close attention to your child’s words—especially their self-talk.

🔹 Are they empowering words?
🔹 Are they positive words?
🔹 Are they supportive words?

At any moment, on any day, you can gently remind your child to shift their words and speak with self-belief.

💡 Every word they say builds neural pathways, shaping the world around them.

Help your child see their greatness—and encourage them to go for it! 🚀

The “What If” Game - about Resilience & Problem-Solving

🎭 How to Play:

Ask your child a "WHAT IF " question about a challenge they might face.
Example: "What if you forgot your homework at school?" or "What if your team lost a game?"

Encourage them to come up with three different SOLUTIONS to handle the situation.

Act out the best one together, making it fun and silly if possible!

🧠 Why It Works: This helps kids practice FLEXIBLE THINKING and PROBLEM-SOLVING instead of feeling stuck when challenges arise.

The Gratitude Treasure Hunt (Positive Mindset)

🔍 How to Play:

Set a timer for 5 minutes and challenge your child to find 5 things in the house that they are GRATEFUL for.
Each time they find something, they must say why it makes them happy (e.g., "I’m grateful for my teddy because it helps me sleep at night").
For extra fun, you can turn it into a scavenger hunt with clues leading to a small prize!

💖 Why It Works: This trains their brain to focus on the positives in life and strengthens feelings of appreciation.

Breaking Free from Limiting Beliefs: A Personal Story

Dear Parents,

As a mindset coach, one of my greatest passions is helping children recognize and overcome the limiting beliefs that might be holding them back. Today, I want to share a bit of my own story because many of our young ones may relate to it.

Growing up, I loved soccer. And when I say I loved soccer, I mean with all my heart! I spent countless hours playing, dreaming of becoming the best I could be on the field. But as a girl, I was often told—directly or indirectly—that soccer wasn't for me, that it was "a boys' sport."

These comments planted seeds of doubt and created limiting beliefs that lingered for years, making me question my place and potential in the game I loved. This experience taught me how powerful and pervasive limiting beliefs can be, especially when they come from those around us. They can shape how we see ourselves, our capabilities, and our future. But they don’t have to define us.

Even today, I still love soccer! It’s a part of me. Anytime I see a soccer ball, I’m ready to play! Recently, my husband and I visited Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, and one of my favorite moments was taking photos with Messi and Ronaldo. I was as happy as a child! Soccer will always have a place in my heart.

As a mindset coach, my mission is to help children identify and challenge limiting beliefs early on. By recognizing the power of their own minds, they can rewrite their stories, pursue their passions without hesitation, and embrace the boundless possibilities of their potential.

Through the Adventures in Wisdom stories that I use in my coaching sessions, children will learn two key skills:

✅ Recognizing and shifting limiting beliefs✅ Intentionally creating supportive beliefs

By building a growth mindset in kids, we can help them develop resilience, confidence, and a love of learning that will serve them throughout their lives.

Helping them focus on a growth mindset early is an investment in their future!

✨ Let’s give our children the gift of a limitless mindset! Are you ready to help them break free from limiting beliefs? ✨

THE POWER OF YET: TRANSFORMING NEGATIVE SELF -TALK

I hope by now you can see how passionate I am about fostering positive self-talk and a growth mindset in my students.
Today, I want to share a powerful method that I’ve been using in my classroom and coaching sessions.
So often, I hear my students say:
💥I can’t do it.
💥I don’t know.
💥I’m not good at…
And the list goes on. These are examples of negative self-talk. Our subconscious mind doesn’t distinguish between true or false statements—it registers whatever information is received.
The Power of YET.

As I recognize the impact of negative self-talk, I encourage my students to add the word “YET” after their statements.
So the new sentences become:
I don’t know… YET.
I can’t do this… YET.
I don’t get it… YET.
I don’t understand… YET.
I’m not good at this… YET.
💁Can you feel the difference?

This is called The Power of YET.

Using the word "YET" helps my students transform their limiting beliefs into opportunities for learning and growth. Instead of thinking, I can’t do it, they start to believe, I don’t know it yet, but I can learn it. This shift empowers them to build resilience and perseverance.
They begin to understand that the challenges they face are temporary obstacles on their path to mastery.
Try This Exercise with Your Child 🧒!

Give it a try with your child and watch the magic unfold! Start using the word YET today, and see how it changes their mindset.

🟢I’d love to hear how it goes—share your experience with me!🟢
