We are open to the public by appointment for adoptions 7 days a week from 10am to 4pm.

We service 19 communities in Westchester County including Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Elmsford, Greenburgh, Harrison, Hartsdale, Hastings-on-Hudson, Irvington, Larchmont, Town of Mamaroneck, Village of Mamaroneck, Mount Vernon, New Rochelle, Pelham, Pelham Manor, Port Chester, Rye Brook, City of Rye and Tarrytown. How You Can Help:

• Donate funds to help us keep the shelter running
• Join our Foster Ca

re Program and open your
home and heart to a shelter animal in need of TLC
• Become a volunteer and assist with a variety of
much needed jobs at the shelter.
• Donate blankets, towels, canned foods, pet toys, etc.
• Include the Humane Society as a beneficiary

Today’s rescue!

This kitten was found in a sewer in Mt. Vernon and rescued by a DPW employee! Thank goodness she is now safe and warm and happy. Though she does have ringworm 🫠 but in 4-5 weeks, she’ll be good as new!

We’ve named this fluffer “Moo Deng”.

2 year old Ruby was found in a dirty and disgusting basement in an apartment building. How or why she was there is a mystery but this girl continues to sparkle and shine! Her cute little cut ear is a mystery as well, as it is not a TNR ear tip, so perhaps an accident as a kitten? No matter, though — we just consider it a sassy side ponytail!

Ruby is truly a gem, loving, flirty, affectionate and easy going -- you couldn’t ask for a better cat!

Lithe and lovely, Sweet Lassi arrived at the shelter with four perfect kittens in tow, all with adorable noses just like hers! Now that she has done an admirable job raising her smart and well-behaved brood — all of her kittens, including Sari & Bindi, have been adopted — (she taught them great manners, but was also a fun, cool mom"), she is ready to kick back and and enjoy some "me time" with a family of her own. Sweet Lassi is around a year and a half old, and is the perfect combination of playful and affectionate, yet also independent enough to mind the house when you are not home. She is a sweet and chill little lady that will quickly become a cherished part of the family.

Look who just had a pedicure — gorgeous, green-eyed Gigi the GlamourPUSS came to us with another cat named Bootsy (already adopted) when their owner could no longer keep them. This 4 year old is a big and striking girl with an even bigger heart!
