Love these lazy, hazy days of summer. When its hot, its hot, but oh those cool mornings , Sight breeze, and just a whiff of autumn in the air..Canadian geese waddling in fields and drive ways, Wild turkeys scurring around with their chicks and our horses are soaking up the sun and enjoying their companions passing thru.

Not sure Blue and Pokey were cuddling or sparring.
Both were majectic in their interactions and a pure joy to watch. Even though they were muddy from all the rain, i thought they were still beautiful.
All the horses are loving the last few weeks of a mild winter. I know cold winds are stirring and will soon breathe their frost and snow across our farm, but I am just enjoying the moment .

During these frigid temperatures, I hope everyone was home snuggle warm. Our horses were all nestled in their stalls and settled in for the night. Our world is full of upheavals, sufferings, and problems, but today our farm was a place of beauty, calmness, and peace. The snow was so beautiful.
It was so quiet, relaxing, and pure joy to behold. I never get over watching our horses in the snow. My dog Raven has a little fun too. I am also ready for a warm fireplace and a good book. Stay warm everyone

Went outside this morning and took in a breathe of crisp cool air, saw the beauty of the dew on the grass, and marveled at the site of our horses grazing peacefully in the fields. The stillness of the morning, the hush of birds chirping, the mist lingering on the hills, covered me in a cloke of peace , calm, and pure joy as i walked our farm . I see beauty in all things and know that i have truly been blessed. I see autumn tip toeing around, splashing colors everywhere, the changing of the guard. I am in awe!!!!.

Summer heat is still smothering, stiffling, Hot! Hot! Hot! Flies are still a nuisance, but we had some exciting things happening on the farm.
A new sign welcomes our boarders. But most importantly, we have two new boarders. Meet Lily, classy and gentle , such a sweetheart. Handsome Zeus, also gentle, is well mannered and reserved. Both horses and their boarders specialize in cowboy mounted shooting competition. It is a pleasure watching them workout .
Fall is right around the corner . I am looking forward to milder temperatures and mother nature's display of magnificent colors. Everyone try and stay cool and be safe.

Boy, is it hot! Not only does Pokey like to play in the water ( A battle with the water hose), but, Raven loves the water too! Fly masks are going on to battle the flies, and tails are twirling and twitching to keep them away.
In the next few months, we will have two openings at our barn, contact me for information.

Grass is green, days are hot, Flies are back!!!!! Our equine friends are doing great. Their owners are brushing, spraying, trimming, washing, giving them their feed and supplements. JUST A REGULAR DAY AT THE SPA. A SHOUT OUT TO ALL THE ANIMAL WARRIORS WHO LOOK AFTER AND CARE FOR THE ANIMALS THAT SHARE THIS BEAUTIFUL PLANET WITH US.

Hello my horse loving friends. One of our boarders moved to Florida and could not take her horse with her. We are looking for a forever home for Dancer, a spotted saddlebred. 14.3 hands. The owner is asking $1200 for Dancer. The horse is located in New Salisbury In. Please share this post in hopes we can find her a good home.

We have the cutest cowgirl riding her horse. Love her style, Love her smile, and she rocks those boots. Way to go Houstyn.
Then in 24 hours winter decided to make a grand entrance with sleet, ice and snow. Our horses love this weather, They are majestic to watch when playing in the snow. Everyone drive safe and stay warm.

Brrrrr, it's cold outside. My equine friends do not seem to mind. We have two new horses grazing our pastures. Meet our handsome appaloosa, Domino, and our beautiful Rocky Mountain, BB. They are so mild mannered, and easy to handle. We are so proud to have them on our farm. Everyone stay warm, snuggle in front of the fireplace, and enjoy your family.

Well it is winter, I think! Warm days, rain,rain and more rain causing beautiful sun rises and sunsets. Putting hay out this week, horses look like they had a mud bath. They look fabulous in their winter coats . Just can't get over how beautiful and majestic they are. My horse loving granddaughter Madison is home from college and she has been giving them extra love and care.
Happy new year 2022 to you all and especially our boarders. I can't say enough about how wonderful they are.

Changes are coming, you can feel and smell them in the air. Jack frost made a grand entrance. His magic on colorful fall leaves were spectacular. The cool mornings splashed the most spectacular sunrises, sunsets and silhouettes.
Horses are putting on their new warm coats, and feeling a little frisky, more playful, and oh so beautiful .
The barn took on a new look, and we are getting ready for winter.

While mowing yesterday, I had to stop and admire the sunlight as it danced between the trees, its rays flickering off the leaves and sparkled on the waters of the slow meandering creek. Brilliant, beautiful, and peaceful! As I was soaking in the sun's rays, a doe and a buck jumped right in front of the tractor, wild flowers were ablaze on the hill sides and a box turtle slowly made its way across my path. Mother nature at her finest.
The Horses are in a constant battle with the heat and the awful flies. Even when they are brushed, sprayed, and gived a little extra TLC, they still roll in the dirt to try and combat those pesky insects. Dancer, our most recent horse, made a great transition to the field.. she is now one of the herd. We are loving her style and quiet demeanor.
Our stables are getting a new paint job and some much needed work. Everyone, stay cool, stay safe, and take time to enjoy life in your hectic and busy schedules.

There is a new DANCER in our fields. She is a little contrary but oh so sweet.
Light of foot with a twinkle in her eye, she is going to be a great addition to our farm. Heat of the summer is bringing on those unwanted pests. Lots of SWAT and spray and a whole lot of swishing of tails are helping to keep those pesky flies away.
Last night's moon was brilliant.
A great time to walk and enjoy the still of the night.

The beauty of it all, sometimes makes me feel so small. The beauty of a silhouette, mother nature in all her glory, to me, is an never ending story. We share this land with Animals big and small , to enjoy, protect, love and cherish.
Our baby fox makes its appearance everyday, a pair of bald eagles fly overhead to a nest close by, creek turtles sunning on their log, and our horses, so magnificent , play and eat, their world is something that needs to be protected and cared for.
I love this farm, I love our country.

There is a new Dude in the field and Ringo is his name . The mares are all a buzz, no doubt he will rise to fame. He's a Tennessee Walker and knows he's a hunk, struts the field, showing off his good looks.
The rest of the horses are enjoying the cooler weather, rolling in the dirt, enjoying the good life. AS a child, I remember playing in the dirt, making mud pies,enjoying the good life. AHHHH TO BE A CHILD AGAIN . Now, I enjoy playing with the horses, counting my blessings, and for me, Life is good .

My constant helpers while trying to work in the fields. They are noble, funny, loyal and majestic. It is hard to get alot of work done when they want your undivided attention. I love their nosy attitude, and how smart they are. They can smell a treat a mile away. I wonder at their friendship and the trust they have in their owners. I am so blessed to observe God's creations and be surrounded by his outstanding beauty ; nothing better than to breathe in the cool morning mist, watch the glorious sunrises, observe mothers natures finest, the fantastic colors of spring flowers ,watch mother fox and her cubs living in harmony with the horses, and the best part is watching my grandkids always offering to help, all the while spoiling the horses with lots of carrots, gentle words and lots of love. They are the best.
